IME, TH10 is the biggest hill to climb in the onset of upgrading. my 10s were up before this update when loot bonus and snip bonus farming was more viable.
once you get your Camps and CC upgraded it becomes MUCH easier sledding. but getting there is often the problem.
I used heavy dose of Barch'M, and BAG'M (I always took 8-16 minions, take out BK and Barbs Gols Giants Valks Hogs in CC, save on spells. good for stray building too) I used a more Archer-Heavy mix for my Barch raids, went for the 50% in Crystal leagues. made my way up to M3 often.
for my Barch mix I throw in 8-12 Archers in the end of my Barb Rax and refill them as needed.. more like 60/40 mix heavy on Arch. (more expensive, but I appreciate their range despite their delicate HP.)
When I do BAG'M I do 2Rax Arch, 1each Barb n Gob (16 Mins)
If you always run either of these two armies you get to know the bases you can hit for loots. but tbh, its a collector army or a 50% army at best, may need a spell in the right spot (Lightning or Heal, the cheap ones)
Post update, Id say head lower where you don't need to rely on bonus, and can maybe find a few dead bases to collector farm on. I had a little trick where I would get into Crystal 3, but farm low enough to be in 'gold 1' range. this way you can find those gold bases, but farm the C3 bonus!:cool: just get back up before the season ends or you will start in gold league and get no dark bonus for the win (or what ever X1, Y3 league variant you do this in).
Good luck, its hard cause the camps are 6.8 mil or something ridiculous...then troop upgrades and costs go up too. and TH9 can drain elixir into walls and it becomes scarce for the start up 10.
