need help 3 starring a tough th9

so my clan got match up with a much higher lvl clan (lvl 6 vs lvl 8) so many of the higher ups including me decided that we need to 3 star their top bases as opposed to just being happy with two stars. For my mirror attack i have to attack this base.

i know my usual gowiwi will only get me two stars so ive been trying to opt for a different strategy. im just having trouble what strategy to come up with so any advice would be appreciated. If you do have a strategy you would like to recommend, could you go into detail about how you would go about it? Thank you!

also these are the troops i have and my hero levels

Max attack

edit: I just did my first Max Attack since the update and I decided to drop the poison spell for a rage spell for my loons. I killed the defenses too quickly and only one hound popped. So if you're going with max attack consider keeping the poison and bringing a haste instead :)

I went with:

2 Rage
1 Heal
4 Earthquake

I suggest:

1 Rage
1 Heal
4 Earthquake
1 Poison
1 Haste

Can you tell us if the arc-X are ground only?

If they are groud only I would :

Quake Zap the 2 ADs close at the buttum close to the royals then 2 hounds on the top ADs with a mass of loons, then royales for the clean up at oposit side, but that a 1or3 star strat

GoLaLoon. Send kill squad in at the queen, that will take out an air defense too.

Then go anti clock wise around the base with lava hounds and surgical loons.

Good base for GoLaLoon 3 stars.

No, theres only one outcome there... 1 star. Dont do this method, as tempting as it is. This has a VERY specific application and this base is not it.

If you dont like Max Attack or GoLaLoon then go for GoHo, you can expose a double gb spot with killsquad and then path around the other one.

2 golem kill squad, earthquake the wiz tower at queen south side to open & expose base. You will take down AQ and 2 AD. Then GoLaLoon around base.
2 golem, 3 hounds, 12/13 loons and wiz for kill squad.
4 EQ, 1 heal, 1 rage, 1 poison for kill squad.
1 haste for loons.

It would be nice if you'd black out the name of the other person and clan. No need to share that.

I thought about doing a goho but i wasnt sure how to approach it. Do u think u could walk me through how to do it?

Ok this is going to be vague cause I'm rushed, sorry. But drop your golems at 8:30 and 9:30, fan wiz and witch behind. Jump spell between mortar and wiz tower to get inside. Ok from here you've eliminated a double giant bomb, queen, and clan castle. You also have king and both xbows distracted. Now, to path these hogs... bring a giant or two as distraction (check YouTube) and do a surgical approach. I would probably start at 10oclock and work clockwise. BUTTTT doing that simply will run you into that double GB spot at the bottom right, so... drop about 15 hogs from 10 oclock (arch tower) to 2 oclock (other arch tower) and then stream 5 hogs onto the arch tower at 3oclock (instantly heal this group, we want them to take down the arch tower, xbow, airdef, mortar and wiz tower there) With this, all your hogs should meet at the middle of the base where the teslas will pop and then work down towards the last few defenses at the bottom while avoiding the bombs.

I guess it wasnt very vague, but goodluck man gotta run :)

All right Thank you! ill try this strategy out and tell you how it goes lol.

I have used this strategy every war recently and it works out great for me. I am a fresh TH 9 (still have mostly TH8 troops and defenses). With your troops, using this strategy correctly should almost guarantee a 3 star.

Name: GoHoWiVa

Army Composition:
1x Golem
8x Valkyrie
2x Giant
12x Hog Rider
14x Wizard
(or 12x Wizard + 8x Archer if there are outlying buildings)

Spells:
4x Earthquake
1x Heal
1x Rage
1x Poison

Clan Castle:
1x Golem (Lvl 4+ preferable)
1x Haste

Execution:
I would start by deploying 4x EQ spells to open hole on the right side, at the corner of the mortar, wizard tower, and air defense. Drop both Golems and let them walk toward defenses and trigger CC. This next part is crucial and you must act fast. Spread Wizards out to create a huge funnel behind Golems to make sure your heroes don't walk around the base. Once buildings have been cleared, Wizards should target CC troops that are attacking Golems. Immediately drop Heal, Rage, Poison, Barbarian King, Archer Queen, All Valkyries (in that order). CC should be instantly dead and all your troops should now be walking toward the middle of the base to easily take out the TH for the first star. Use Haste as you see fit. Also keep an eye on Heroes and use Hero abilities as needed. On the opposite side of where you attacked from, you will be deploying surgical Hogs to take out defenses and meet up with your kill squad. Find row of 3 or more defenses and drop a giant in the middle of them. Now drop 3 hogs on each side of the giant so they attack 2 different targets and likely meet in the middle. Repeat with the second Giant and Hogs. At this point, you probably still haven't used Hero abilities and no longer have any defenses to worry about. There have been multiple occasions where I have 3 starred a TH 9 and not needed either Hero ability. Anyway, it's late and I have to work in a few hours so:
