I had been away from the game for awhile, but when I saw the new update had TH 11 I couldn't help myself from picking the game up again. Even though maxing purists would probably laugh at my walls and heroes, I'll probably start my TH 11 upgrade later this week. Anyway, here are my thoughts on the update:
-TH 11 and additions that come with it: Easily the best part of the update to me. The new hero looks really cool, as does the new defense, and I love minions so I'm happy they got a new level.
-TH storage and shielding changes: I don't have an issue with either in principle, but the way they've implemented it is frustrating. My issue with it is they've taken away important strategies but haven't given us anything to replace them with. People put their THs outside for a reason, and by ending the era of easy shields, and by dramatically lowering the loot bonus on low (or even mid) percentage raids, they've effectively reduced our loot incomes and increased our loot losses. I would be satisfied with both changes if they would a) Have the loot bonus increases come into play at significantly lower percentages (at least by 50%) and b) introduce a defensive win loot bonus. If we had a reason to want to win defenses, then I'd gladly defend my TH as the price.
-PBT: Honestly, this is not a big issue for me personally due to my play style, but I absolutely agree that people have a right to be upset about it. The resetting time in particular will probably infuriate me the next time I try to push though.
-Guards: Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't even get why this was needed. Feels like an unnecessary complication to me.
Overall: I like the update for TH 11 (and related content) and not much else. My biggest complaint is the defensive and loot changes. It's not a great update by any means, but it's enough to keep me interested until the next one probably (if it's bad, I may quit again).
