Further changes to the system so that this update benefits more..
Currently the only players this update has shown any benefit to are the all day tap-tap-tappers, and to focus on such a small segment of the market is more than a joke - its bad business. To ostracize such a large variety of your player base is a recipe for fail and you will soon feel that wrath.
I have given it a few days to see how things play out, made adjustments to my bases to try adjust and make this game worth my time and frankly so far nothing has been worth it. I have 3 accounts that I have spent a large sum of money on this game over the past 15-16 months that I have been playing and will definitely drop all 3 like a bad habit if these changes continue on as instituted.
So here goes my suggestions to fix this update so that it appeases more of your market and doesn't incur a mass exodus of your game.
Shields for TH destruction: yes it was abused by many - myself included, but it was a necessary evil for those that cant spend all their day tap tap tapping away, building armies, attacking, staying online. Adding such a substantial loot penalty to the TH should have been MORE than enough of a dissuasion for the vast majority. Removing the shield altogether was just PURE greed and you need to bring it back, but to compromise bring it back at a reduced rate. Perhaps only permit a 6 or 8 hour shield for a TH's destruction.
Let's run the numbers, to get a 12 hour shield over 3 separate accounts (baby 9, near max 9, near max 10) I have had to have serious attackers take me for 300,000 loot. To recuperate that loot at a crystal 1 or higher league I am going to need to build a substantial army which will cost me 250-350,000 in loot and 2-3 hours of build time. and generally can expect - for the most part - another 300,000 loot coming back my way. So with 70,000 win loot bonus I've gained 20-120,000 loot back. that means it can take anywhere from 3-30 attacks to recuperate my losses with the occasional inclusion of a 4-500k win which are coming far and far less from my experience than before the changes so I've left them out of my equation.
So lets go with best case scenario of 3 attacks at 2-3 hours of build time is 6-9 hours to build those 3 attacks.
- Attack #1 is ready approx @ 9-10 hours remaining of shield, attacking costs me 3 hours shield so I am now at 6-7 hours remaining.
- Attack #2 is now ready at 3-5 hours remaining of shield, attacking now costs me 4 hours of shield. So I am either done with my shield or have an hour of my 3rd attacks build time where I am safe from being attacked again.
hmmm so I haven't recuperated my losses and in those 6 hours my collectors have earned me an additional 126,000 (at TH9 - earning slightly more at TH10) loot. so maybe JUST recuperated in the entire length of my shield.. so where do the gains come from? Answer: they don't and this is with BEST case scenario.
Okay so how about a quicker build of a barch or garch attack (60 min : lets go with 1hr because its an easy number to work with I know barch is quicker but a lot of times you are waiting on spells)
- Attack #1 is ready with 11 hours remaining in shield and my attack costs me 3 hours so i am now at 8 hours remaining
- Attack #2 is ready at 7 hours remaining and costs me 4 hours of shield leaving me with 3 hours remaining
- Attack #3 is ready at 2 hours remaining and costs me 5 hours - or also SHIELD GONE
These attacks because they are weak can be hit or miss but lets just say I am lucky and earned my max of 300k per attack at a cost of 150-250k elixer per attack that means I've earned 50-150k per attack or 150-450k loot in my 3 attacks.. that's a +/- 150k loot to gain a 12 hour shield.. again I say not worth it.
Okay so you punish TH's destruction with substantial loot and a defense loss - give us a 6 or 8 hour shield for that substantial loss or your screwing us over!
Next: Shield loss due to attacking at the above rates is ridiculous and should be reduced to 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hour, 4 hour, 5 hour, 6 hour.
At that rate I can do 3 attacks to _MAYBE_ recuperate my loot and still have a very minuscule 5 hours 30 mins remaining to collect loot, go to sleep, spend 5 hours in college classes, etc etc etc. That only seems fair to me.
Next up Collector rates. Lets say I am not interested in attacking - I have a full day of work from 7am-7pm I am not able to do anything so I'd rather use up my 12 hour shield and quickly log in and collect at random intervals.. Okay well my 12 hour shield which cost me 300,000 to acquire will only allow me to collect 252,000 gold and elixer over that 12 hours at TH9, and at TH10 it will only get me 294,000. How is that fair? That's a consistently losing system setup.
Collector rates should be increase by a rate of 30-60% more at ALL levels. Just for a comparison, current rate at max is 3500/hr.. a 50% increase would be 5250/hr. over that same 12 hour period a TH9 acquires 378,000 loot for his loss of 300,000.. 78,000 loot over 12 hours is trash but at least its SOMETHING not a continuous loss system as is currently developing. At TH10 that 5250/hr only increases to 441,000 loot so a gain of 141,000 over 12 hours. Considering the upgrades at TH10 are 6.5-8 million in loot that gain is minimal at BEST.
Finally win bonus loot levels.. To say that you were going to increase the win bonus loot levels substantially and then offer us what you have offered is a joke. As is they need to be DOUBLED, at least as far up as Master 1 league - as you go up the more time required to be online and build your much stronger armies increases and this is only fair, After you enter the Master league your not increasing build time or troop cost so from there on you can increase at more modest rates!
If I am going to compete at crystal 1 with a loot bonus of 70,000 and an avg loot stolen of 300,000 gives me 370,000 that means 1 attack taking 2.5-3.5 hours and costing 250-350,000 loot (PLUS 300,000 for my shield = 550-650,000)
Just on a pure cost to loot gained ratio I am losing as much as 20,000 loot and gaining as much as 120,000 loot for 2.5-3.5 hours of build time and a 3 hour loss for attacking.. so I am down to 5.5-6.5 hours remaining in my shield for anywhere from -20,000 to +120,000 loot. That is just PATHETIC considering competing at Crystal 1 or higher is going to require a much more substantial playing time than I am capable of committing being in college to get a pathetic bonus.
At lower levels (ex: silver 1) I would still not get much of a bonus 4800x2=9600 so I still have a justification to push up in trophies, but gives me more choice in my positioning to be dependent on my available playtime due to real life commitments.
I'm not alone here, almost 800 pages of complaints among 2 separate forum posts proves that. You've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off the masses and its now time to compromise. Doing these changes will fix a lot of issues while still accomplishing the objectives you have set out to do.

It is sad but it looks like SC wanted to compete with candy crush profits. Sorry to say but with the new update and the amount of players they will lose they just mike be lucky to complete with Castle clash.
