Ok. Everyone is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the new update and want to leave COC. Lets make a petition to bring back the farming snipe shield.
Just reply to this message and say "bring back farming". If we get thousands of replies I can guarantee SC will listen and make modifications.

Dude, the update is good for farming, all those rich th 8s and 9s just sitting there exposed. The only think that needs to be fixed is the pbt
Bring back the snipe !! I haven't had a shield since the update happened. And stop giving me that stupid Personal Time Out after only playing for 45 Minutes. I have played this game long enough to know when I can stop or not. This is the worst update I have ever seen. This has already lost us a war when two of our top members had a time out before they could complete their war attacks.
The freeze spell for th9 was nice, farming is terrible now despite what all the high ranking bloggers are saying on here. Of course it's better for th 10-11 raiding destroy a th9's th get 10k de and a ton of loot. Farmers is what made this game and being able to play it numerous ways, now it's a big spenders game like GOW bring back th sniping or lose many players. I have noticed only the high ranking forum members are happy with the update, that speaks volumes.

Check up on some of the CoC YouTube people. I know Galadon is making a new village post update so he can see how this thing runs for new players.
Also, there is a reason why high ranked forum memebrs think it is great (or at least better than before), most of us had time to see more of the big picture after beating our, back then, newbie heads into eachother's on topics we thought we knew something about, but really didn't (most of us still don't know as much as we think we do, but don't tell them that, it makes them mad). The update is an attempt to fix issues that are very complex; and I'm honestly surprised, and happy, (and also a bit worried) that SC even tried! I'm also impressed by how they did it too, because, at least 'on paper', seems like it has a good chance at fixing things I've complained about a year ago. Note: I'm not one for giving flattery. Before the update news, I listed this game as a 3 out of 5 stars in Google Play with blut criticism that barely fit inside the text box. The only good thing I had in it was that SC actually seemed like a smart development team, but the game was of average gameplay quality, due to past mistakes that kept haunting SC.
So yes, the higher ranked people like it because we've... uh.. 'grown up' since we started posting here, and picked up many details along the way. And no, we aren't getting paid off to say positive stuff about Supercell (if we are, where is my share!), nor is the update cartered just to high Town Hall level players (if so, I haven't seen evidence, and would be depressing to find out).
Farming isn't dead. Town hall sniping, and so-called 'farming bases', are however dead; but raiding easy bases, either rushed, abandoned, or poorly designed, is still very much possible. Don't confuse the two. I was farming on this game way before I finally broke down and put my TH outside of my walls. Took more than 9 months to for me to give in, but I resisted using a farming base up until I stopped playing seriously at the end of TH8, and backed off my activity for awhile until a good update came around (which such an update finally did come around).
So, I don't know what some of you guys are complaining about. If the terms we are using are the same, as in what is meant by 'farming', then it seems like a premature or pointless rant from my point of view, because now there are more bases to pick from (and be picked on, besides me) and more access to people I can take loot from.
... But now I need a new strategy, since the Super Queen method turned unviable. :p Even with 4-6 Healers (under the high diminishing returns point) vs TH8 bases, the effectiveness has been reduced enough to not quite be worth it. Just as well, it likely ticked people off anyway, but got good WB practice and funneling out of it. Back to Barcher I suppose... (really need to find something better...)
If I'm honest, I like the change to farming. It seems unnatural for the Townhall to be on the outside. Townhall gets targeted, next thing you know Villagers and Builders run to a building under attack. #Logic.
It's more natural if the villagers and builders run to a building that's protected and it allows for people to spread their loot more evenly across a base. It also allows people to not be constantly behind a shield, allowing for a wider array of bases to search for, therefore less waiting time when pressing next, the quicker you can search through bases, and the quicker it should take to find a base with lots of loot.
Let's say for example, you lose 200k of each and 1k of Dark Elixir when defending. This didn't use to happen before, when you most likely would have been sniped instead.
Big Deal! I can make up that 200k + 1k DE easily in 1 raid, and next thing you know all that loot lost has been made up again, easy.

Sorry mate but from what I've seen and the feed back I'm getting from my clan members, coc is far from a desolate place full of despair.
I think the up date has shook alot of players, and those that are keen will adapt.
Farming carnt die while a base exists with collectors and mines within easy reach of an archer or barb.
BRING FARMING BACK. I don't mind that town hall 11 or anything but the fact that you messed with the Sheila's and farming system is the worst thing you've done. Sometimes I get attacked up to 10 times in a day and some! Bull sh*t man bring farming back
