Tip: HOW TO EASILY GET A SHIELD

Instead of just let your Th out of village, around it with colectors and quarter + builders ... This way you earn an shield

80% of village were unable to be attacked because of sniping .. This update made you able to attacke The rich players (including you, obviosly haha) .. Stop criticizing .. Open your eyes: this update is good for your farm (you lose one battle but win 10) .. It is also good for your push .. Enjoy this new opportunity

All update (not The personalidade break .. Come.on, just 3 hours?!) was for you, not just for money, and its good for you

FYI you need to find a way to make them throw down the number of troops it takes to get a shield too. You don't just get a shield because someone broke all your stuff with one wizard.

This is true. I think we'll be seeing a lot of trapped, semi-exposed TH's, tucked behind all the trash buildings. This will bait a lot of the barchers, and certainly cause them to use most of their army.

i think you are in the wrong section to post this.

I actually disagree. I wasn't hit for 22 hrs. even with max gold. My lvl 3 golems finished and I had enough lix to start my max loons. That's it. I have work, kids, husband and a life. I wasn't on for well over half the day yesterday and I got kicked for being on "too long". 10+ raids and a war later, I'm barely at 900k lix. Since the update came out. When I raided before the update I should've been up to at least. (Keyword being LEAST) 2 mil before update. So..yeah big change. I made me a dummy base just so I could be on. I put everything but defenses on the outside just so I could war prep and donate war troops with minuscule elixir that is now available. Its a shame really.

1 increase elixir collectors & de drills production rate by 4x (keep gold mines same)

2 make more village guard plans in shield section in shop

3 make personal break extended 2 times not 4 times

4 make king & queen & grand warden upgrades in laboratory (example king from lvl1 to 5 require lvl 5 max th 7 lab & from 5 to 10 lvl8 lab etc

First off, people need to know the operating methods of Supercell. They have a popular game on their hands, they don't want to mess it up with a careless mistakes.

"Yeah, so..? what's your point?" Point is, is that they update conservatively... Yes, even the grand overhaul they just did has conservative elements to it. Why do I say that? Check the update history. Things are often added in underpowered and overpriced, and then they are gradually tweeked to have progressively better stats in the next several months.

You want better Village Guard so you can play the way you want to? I predict it will be improved after the next several updates. We already got a great bonus in regards to Shields while still killing off the malignant issue of the 'farming base', in the form of getting 12 hours from 30% damage! (of course after x amount of troops are deployed) Even the amount of troops needed to trigger a Shield was lowered just before the update! So this isn't the end of the update process, it is only the beginning.

I predict a lot more 'Troll Bases' will be used, since that would be the most reliable method of getting a Shield via tricking attackers into investing enough troops to qualify you for a Shield. I can just feel it; people loning for the old farming base days would eventually be looking for a way replicate the same results while in this new system, looking for away to be damaged enough, and from a large enough deployment of troops, to get that Shield they are so used to having.

Though, in a practical sense, it may just be better to make what people would call a 'real defense' (even though a Troll base is a real defense, but in a class of it's own) and hope for the best like everyone else.

Do these past conservative updates include hogs, Royals, etc... as well, which I recall being so OP they had to nerf? Or do they just include the most recent update?

The introduction of spells was highly 'pre-nerfed' before much of the creation time was reduced, Valkyries were buffed up with 'Splash' damage, among other older updates. That is not to say mistakes don't happen. If there were no mistakes, there would be very few game mechanics updates. There wouldn't have been a need for the grand overhaul they did if they didn't make any mistakes when first coding the game. Yes, it is quite clear there were some overpowered things introduced, like Heroes, Hog Riders, and using Elixir to upgrade walls at too low a Town Hall level. But the general trend is towards being conservative.

Compared to most development teams, these guys have learned quite a bit in the past few years. Mistakes happen, despite the best laid plans, but they try to recover from them as intelligently and quickly as possible. There are many places in their game tweaking and updating that could have gone wrong, and haven't. The fact there wasn't a mass exodus of Clash of Clans after the most recent update is an example. Though there were a lot of ticked off people when software issues came up, and being familiar with coding, that's understandable; albeit a sad reality.

There will be fewer mistakes as they keep in mind the lessons learned from the past, but every now and the introduction of a new features will throw them an unexpected curve, and no doubt they'd be scrambling to recover from the slipup. Honestly, I'd question if they were human if they didn't make some kind of mistake, somewhere, every so often.

i see your point, but I don't think troll bases will be en vogue anymore. Barchers won't go all out to kill a town hall. Heck I barely look at the town hall now. Maybe if they trolled with their de it would still work, but nobody does that.

They can do whatever the he!! They want I done with the game

I'm using the term 'Troll Base' rather loosely. Basically any base that suckers people into attacking what seems to be an easy win, or easy loot grab. A common type of trolling base was the TH sniper trolling base, with the traps, hidden Teslas, and/or base defenses within range. But there are the 'gap in the center' trolling, or 'accidental' gaps for deployment, and so on.

I've actually done a few TH Snipes after the update, mostly because of the easy loot from the TH itself XD

Who knows what they will eventually morph into, but I do expect more bases to be designed with a psychological aspects to it to lure in preferred kinds of attackers, as opposed to just making a strong base, game mechanics wise.
