No sense let a Th9 have freezing spell... There is no need at all. Much better let th10 have 2 lvl to upgrade in spell factory or to (with the new spell coming)
About shield, a tip: let collectors and army camp farm from defences.. This way its easy to get a shield
another tip: why not th give a two hours guard? Town hall is giving stars anyway...
Im pretty sure that they gave TH9 the freeze spell so they more chances when attacking a Th10.
Giving TH a two hour guard would make exposed THs more enticing...

So i dont think think they did this to make players protect THs.
At least those with Town Hall 9s got something new. It seems like almost all the update was for maxed out players.

As for the guard. its a nice addition, but i think its good the way it is.
although I would like to see master have a slightly longer guard as mine sometimes already expired before i come back from my actual attack (when i sacrifice my shield)
No need to give a townhall a guard or this whole update wouldnt have made any sense as th sniping got made useless due to the fact a shield would hide certain players 99% of the time.
an active guard does the same thing
