Donated Poison ruining TH8 wars

So, as we all know, there is an extra donated spell now.. meaning at TH8, an attacker can take two poisons. Has anyone done the math for what level poisons are required to take out what level dragon? Now it certainly seems like the strongest TH8 attack is going to be pulling the CC with a hog, killing it with two poisons (giving up 30 seconds to get back to the regular three minutes), then launching 44 hogs.

To whoever tries telling me I should still bring wizards for some reason, I'm going to ask you in advance why do you think I should take wizards for clean up instead of goblins. You're welcome.

Great point.

That is a valid statement. Maybe supercell will see it and change how powerful they are if two are used or something. But yes great point.

Don't forget, the donated spell also gets an upgrade (rather interesting, as the clan perk changed from troop level to donation upgrade...)

I can make an argument for, say, 1 wizard on the opposite side of the hogs, as pinching during clean helps. :)

I used a lv2 and a lv4 (donated) poison spell in a war attack just now and took out a max drag.

Drop lv2
count to 5
drop lv4

That will kill the drag. You need the delay to give you the right mix of increase the rate the damage scales up and the overall duration the dragon is poisoned.

L4 poison ALMOST takes out a drag by itself. Only need one more poison, whatever level, and the drag is easily destroyed

Hogs are still stronger against most th8s, especially without having a cc or pull to worry about. If I wanted to have this debate I would have asked nvrstopdreaming

Im interested in seeing how this will change the meta since with my mini 8.

Has anyone tried a camp full of hogs with 2 poisons in action?

I will today. I'll probably bring two archers and three goblins to push the remaining hogs in a desired direction on clean up. Note: I am definitely not bringing any wizards, with far less dps to the buildings hogs don't kill and far slower than goblins,

Two poisons. 1 to kill CC drag and skellies, 1 to help remaining hogs to kill the king (my king was down for upgrade)

Yea, they had to force th8 to upgrade because it is the sweet spot in the game, which is completely ruined until enough people quit playing and xbows and infernos go empty. Until then high th10s and any th 11 will milk my poor account daily upsetting me...

In fact, the enemy cc actually helps guide dragons to the air defense if you drop them at the proper angle
Giving up Rage at the cost of 2 poison is foolish
2 lightning, 1 Rage, 1 earthquake, 1 donated Haste for cc loons BOOM!

This would be by far the strongest dragon attack at TH8, and I'd venture to swap an additional dragon for four loons to take advantage of the haste (99 hasted zapquaker?)

Plus, how do you pull the CC on an 11 dragon attack?

Dark Spell donation makes CCT irrellevant and spoils TH9 attacks on TH8!

Donating a Dark Spell has completely ruined Clan War!

First of all, with 2 Poison Spells it doesn't matter at all what is in the Clan Castle. You may as well leave them empty on the war map as 2 Poinson Spells even kill a level 5 dragon.

And second, TH9 attacks on maxed TH8 used to be a skill, but with this dark spell donation ANYBODY can 3 star a TH8. You take 4 Lightning spells and 2 Eurthquake - obviously made possible by the donation - and you take out 2 Air Defenses. Then it's 12 dragons versus just the 1 Air Defense --> 3 stars guaranteed.
No skill, no nothing. Just drop 6 spells and then your dragons anywhere.

I don't even know what's worse, the new anti-Town Hall sniping or the way that this dark spell donation completely ruined Clan Wars.

For your clan, maybe they took skill, for my clan we just ran 42 loon/20 minion loonion and TH8s were hopeless to defend it assuming we brought 3/1 heals/rage and healed early and launched upwind of the air sweeper after pulling the CC. It was as easy as TH7 warfare.

or lavaloon or anything compo that start with 4 golem level 4! Sure any mid TH9 could to it easy but he is still rigth that now a fresh TH9 only need is 4th spell and deal done

Laloons sometimes failed because TH8s wouldn't pop the hounds. You could do it after one measly upgrade before, yawn. This doesn't change anything for TH9 vs TH8; however, its wrecking TH8 wars.

You are joking, yes?

3* a max TH8 as a TH8 often requires some skill. As a TH9, especially an anywhere decent TH9? Skill? Well, let's just say the skill required is far, far less. In those few instances when we have a TH9 attack a TH8, words like, "Dude, that just isn't fair" is commonplace.

Then again, I do agree that it's pretty embarrassing how many TH9s miss. I'm not sure where to draw the, "average" line from...

And if you are using laloon into a TH8, you're wasting DE in my mind...

Even though we don't do it often, Tyler is spot on. L6 loons into a TH8 just isn't fair, especially with 4 spells + 2 dark spells. Traditionally, we just rolled em with dragons, as it's mindlessly easy, but loons is likely the better way to go.
