All my dummy adds are bought in less than 5 mins. I have tried b+e, roasted tomatoes , eggs and pumpkins any ideas to what else I can use ?

same! my b&es were all bought within 1 min! infuriating. so far nothing worked, think everyone is buying everything.Quote:

then what happens when someone buys everything from your shop? it happens to me all the time. full shop of b&e, all gone. people dont just buy one or two selectively thats the whole problem.Quote:

because some things in the store arent "supposed" to be bought, at least that quickly. they're supposed to be there to lure people to come to visit your farm/shop so they'll buy other things instead. and after they buy them you'll still have plenty of time to put up more stuff while the ad goes on. if you've put up a hot selling item like jam or expansion item, it gets sold off immediately and the ad will get pulled off the newspaper altogether. then if you have other items in the shop at the same time they wont be seen anymore. surely you'll understand this even without much explanation?Quote:

Yes I understand how it works and the reason for putting the advertisement on a less desirable item to make the ad stay up longer but once the store is wiped out there is nothing left to draw new lookers in to buy! You sold out. Mission accomplished. If you have that much to sell wait 30 mins and do it again...or get more slots in the store. I mean, really?. You have endless amounts of stuff to sell that you can just keep adding and adding and adding???? I have like 25 slots. I fill them, advertise (some with multiple items like 5 x chicken feeds), if all 25 slots sell out immediately then I collect my money and call it a success. Then I get busy making more items and planning my next sale 30 minutes away. Certainly there isn't much I can make within that 30 minutes so its not like I can make more than I can sell in 25 slots every 30 mins. Also keep in mind that the shop is not the only place to move your product. So you are manufacturing enough product to fill boat orders, fill board orders, help other players with their boats and you still need endless time to sell your roadside items?? If so you must be speeding up every item with diamonds or something.
lol if you dont have much to sell doesnt mean other people dont. for the high level players they have all the machines mastered hence they make stuff quicker. also all do they now are helping neighbors with their boats so they tend to make a lot of stuff. also, when you advertise who said you have to sell 10x of everything? 1 of each will be easy to fill up all the slots.Quote:

Hi .. I am relatively new to the game - lvl 26 - and I have been wondering why there is so many listings for B&E ! After reading this post I understand now why but to me it makes no sense for everyone to advertise eggs and B&E because when I am looking for something specific like for instance I accidentally used my last red pepper and I couldn't find any anywhere for sale without going into each ad and looking...after about three minutes of that I gave up! Too tedious!! Surely there must be an easier way? Also I play all day as much as I can between school and work ... I always have my nose in this game...so why is it so hard to make money? It seems like it takes forever and I make stuff to sell all the time... Is there one thing that sells better than others? Like I know B&E sells high but seems like no one ever wants to buy it...

yes the dummy ad is something that some players like to do, but having a lot of friends also helps you to find things.
and as Kebak said: truck orders this week! Double all coins on orders means you can get a little more than the shop price for the goods if you calculate the totals, and delete ones that don't get you enough coins.
To one of the replies above, it is definitely frustrating to have "dummy", or in my case, I prefer to call them "anchor" ad items quickly bought up. The purpose of the B+E ad is to give people a chance to find my farm. Without the ad, and assuming they are not my follower or someone I have recently helped, there is no way for them to link to my farm. That's why my anchor is always B+E, which is an item that most people don't need because they can easily make it themselves. I don't actually run out of things to sell, since I'm wheating and selling the wheat at low price - turn over is very fast!
As for why it's happening. My theory is that B+E has developed such a stigma, that it's not actually produced all that much. With the additional traffic of people seeing the update, and having the 2x truck orders, the need to consume B+E has increased, but the supply has not. And wheaters/sellers like me, who are looking to stock up on B+E, simply go around buying it - it's quicker that way. It's funny (and ironic) to imagine all of us buying each other's anchors in this rapidly diminishing global supply of B+E!
i gave up B&E for now, people are buying B&E like crazy :(
i switch to eggs for now :rolleyes:
i need those dummies for people to find my farm not for buying my dummies
i need traffic for my farm and i help people by selling a lot of extras materials i got from croping :rolleyes:

I don't get why people resent the time it takes to hunt and gather and plan in order to make the game last. Everyone seems to want instant gratification. Everybody always complains that it's too hard to find expansion items and tools. The post above complained that she had to spend three whole minutes to search through various ads looking for peppers. Some complain that easy private trading and player to player communication is not made available to us so that we can get everything quickly and easily. That is not the nature of this game. Patience and a long term strategy and the love of the hunt is what this is all about. Why is everybody so frustrated with that and trying to find ways around it!?! Sorry so long. I just had to say my peace. No ill will intended. One other post in another thread said it well - if it weren't for speed bumps along the way the game would not be a challenge and would be over quickly.
Just to clarify .. It was not so much a complaint as a just frustration at the seemingly tedious way you have to open the paper flip through to where you left off select another persons farm and do that over and over and over. I may have exaggerated by saying I spent three minutes before frustration took over...I too enjoy going through the ads looking at others farms and helping where I can ... But sometimes you are in a hurry ... :)Quote:
