Ash's TH11 Progression Thread - Road to Max TH11

anyone upgraded to TH11 but not maxed yet? Im seriously tempted to RUSH to TH11 with that Grand Warden and the Eagle Artillery wrecking havoc?

it'll be great on the lower leagues whilst i catch up with the extra Archer Tower, etc and maxing it out.

Anyone's done this yet?

I have just hit the upgrade button even though I still have walls, BK, and some cannon levels to go. I figured I can still finish them at TH11 consider most upgrades still have the same level cap, so I might as well get started on Grand Warden's level.

Will gems be used?

Now there are certain ways that I’m going to approach Town Hall 11. I’ve asked many of my followers if they would like to see me gem the timer of my Grand Warden so that I can upgrade him to level 20 quicker and also so that you guys can see gameplay and attack strategies involved with the Grand Warden. Almost everyone who commented stated that I should gem the timer. So that’s what I’m going to do, I’m going to gem the timer of the Grand Warden every time I have enough Elixir to upgrade him.
Now I know there’s a stigma around players when someone is using gems to speed up their progress. So let me make this clear so that everyone understands exactly why I am using gems. First, I’m not using gems to buy resource. No, I will be farming for all my resource and will document that in this journey. A big reason why I’m gemming the timer of the Grand Warden, is so that I can farm more, so that I can play more, and so that I can provide you guys with more videos. This allows me to make more video content on this YouTube channel, As otherwise, if I were to not gem the timer of the Grand Warden, then I will have to wait basically wait until his upgrade finishes because I’ll be stuck with full storages and nothing else to do.
Not only that, I want to use the Grand Warden for future strategy videos on both farming and wars. If I don’t gem the timer, then you guys will not be able to see the Grand Warden in action for over 3 months, because that’s how long it takes to get him to get to level 20 if I always place him on upgrade. So I’m basically doing this for you guys, so I can provide you with the best Clash of Clans content that I can. Also, other than the Grand Warden, I will not be gemming the timer of anything else. So hopefully everything’s clear. Also, if you have any questions about my journey to TH11, then comment below.

First day TH11! What do I do??

Priority = Get the Grand Warden and focus mainly on Elixir for farming to upgrade him. Why Elixir and the Grand Warden? Because the whole offense at TH11 revolves around the Grand Warden. So far from my experiences of using the Grand Warden, I’m not too thrilled. I still find the Barbarian King and Archer Queen to be better, but maybe because they are level 40 and I have yet to get level 20 Grand Warden. Anyways, the game also revolves around offense and the Grand Warden is the toughest thing to upgrade at Town Hall 11 because he has 20 levels of upgrade. If you upgrade him constantly every time his upgrade completes, then it will take you a total of 87.5 days to get him to level 20. Which isn’t as bad as the level 40 Barbarian King and Queen that take like around 8 months.
While I’m farming for the Grand Warden, I will also be starting the Eagle Artillery and new extra defenses (X-bow, Wizard Tower, Archer Tower, Cannon). I won’t be be focusing too much on them, and will probably leave them until I have my Gold and Elixir Storages and Laboratory upgraded. Laboratory will definitely be at the top of my priority as soon as I get the Warden to level 5 (which I will today). As I also want level 3 Witches as soon as possible to utilize them for 3 starring Town Hall 10s! Elixir Storages will also need to be maxed at level 12 so I can continue to upgrade the Grand Warden asap when he surpasses level 15. While the Eagle Artillery finishes in 12 days and I’ll need 10 million Gold capacity to upgrade it to level 2.

Won’t building the Eagle Artillery increase your war weight?

Yes, I’m aware of that. But I really don’t care about that. I know that means that wars will be more challenging as I’ll be paired up against stronger bases. But, I’m completely fine with that. I love challenges and I’m a very competitive player. So I’m up for that challenge. I’m also a base designer. I design a lot of bases, and would love to make a lot of bases for TH11 players in the future. How’s the loot at TH11?

The loot is horrible here! Makes Town Hall 10 farming look like a joke. But I love that. Why? Because for me, it doesn’t matter if the loot is so bad as I’ve basically maxed out everything at TH10 and also completed 95% of my level 11 walls. Not only that, there’s really not much to upgrade at Town Hall 11. There are no level 12 walls. And of course I’ve completed farming my BK and AQ to level 40, so Dark Elixir is also pretty much useless for me. Once I’m done upgrading the Eagle Artillery and rest of my level 11 walls, Gold will also become useless to me. So strangely, Elixir will become the most valuable resource to me (and I neglected elixir for so long in the game haha).

I’m a Town Hall 10, but I’m not yet done maxing out my base. Should I rush to TH11?

This depends on how driven you are and if you’re a competitive player like me. If you’re a hardcore player who can upgrade both the Barbarian King and Archer Queen at once, then… Grand Warden to level 20 takes 87.5 days total. 87.5 divided by 7 is around 13 weeks. This means that you 20 levels of the Warden is equivalent to about 13 levels of your Barbarian King or Archer Queen after they surpass level 15. So plan wisely. If you’re a player who alternates farming Barbarian King and Archer Queen, then… In 87.5 days, you can complete 13 levels in total of BK and AQ. So that means that your Barbarian King and Archer Queen should both be at least level 34 before you hit that upgrade button. Why? Because if you alternate upgrading them, it will take 6 weeks to max the Barbarian King plus another 6 weeks to max the Archer Queen, but don’t forget, the Grand Warden costs Elixir to upgrade and farming Dark Elixir isn’t bad at Town Hall 11, so you can continue to alternate upgrading the King and Queen while also upgrading the Warden with Elixir. Get three heroes done at once!
Walls are also the hardest unit to upgrade because there are just so many of them and Gold and Elixir is quite scarce at TH11. So I also recommend that you at least complete all your level 10 walls before thinking about TH11 and at least half your defenses to max TH10 level.
So in summary, for you to upgrade to Town Hall 11:
1) If you’re someone who can only manage upgrading 1 Hero at a time, then make sure both your King and Queen are at least level 34 and you also have all your level 10 walls complete and an almost all max defenses.
2) If you’re a hardcore player who can manage upgrading both heroes at the same time, then make sure your King and Queen are at least level 30 and that you also have all your level 10 walls complete.

End of Day 1 - Completed =
Grand Warden Level 4
Eagle Artillery (Building/Upgrading)
New X-bow (Building/Upgrading)
New Wizard Tower
New Archer Tower
New Cannon

I wan't to put this into use on town hall 10 cause loot is ♥♥♥♥ unless I start raiding storages wich i finds tons of

Both my hero's are around lvl 25 and my army's and spells are maxed.

Would you have a army composition for me 240 troops, Perhaps witouth witches because of the time and cost. Or do you doubt it works at master 3 with my weaker hero's and such.

I can see what your using in the vid but rather get set numbers of troops so I know what to put in my barracks and attacking every 15ish minutes is fine with me.

Hey Ash i am having a very hard time farming with th11 i have max troops and lvl q32/k25 heros. Wondering what league and army comp is working for you? Ive tried down in silver and gold was good for first day then dried up and up in champs with lavaloon i barely break even

If you're using Heroes to farm with, use GiBarch or GiBAM with around 12 Giants and 8 Wall Breakers. BAM or Barch if you're not using heroes.

Masters 3, 2530-2600 trophy range with M3 badge. If you're using Heroes to farm with, use GiBarch or GiBAM with around 12 Giants and 8 Wall Breakers. BAM or Barch if you're not using heroes. Having lots of success. Sometimes die, sometimes lots of dead bases.

after went to th11, i having a really bad times for farming...

All the info you need is within the first 2 pages, both league and what troops to use even different setups depending on whether your using your hero's or not.
