Pretty much afraid to to to TH8.

I've been TH7 forever. I think I upgraded in March. I want to go to TH8, but I'm afraid the loot penalties and whatnot will make the game less fun.

Here's my base:

I wanted to be a truly maxed TH7, but I am getting tired of this level. It will take another 2 weeks at least to finish my defenses, and to finish DE research and BK upgrades could take another month. Add walls in and I might not ever get to TH8.

Here's the question: is maxing the TH really worth it? I plan on getting level 2 teslas and all pink walls, then upgrading. Sound good?

I say max everything. Th 7 has the best loot. Im also th7 and I am almost completely maxed. Maxing everything makes it so you have less to do later. If your really want to go to th8 at least all lvl 6 walls. Dont worry about dark elixer projects as much.

you got nothing to fear of th8. im here and the loot is great as my avergae raid is 200k/200k. its also much easier with level 5 troops. however i do recommend to max your base at th7 because when you will hit th8 you will get raided a lot form th9 and 8 and that will somewhat help you to defend against them plus you will have to upgrade it anyway sooner or later. defienatly upgrade your walls as golden walls requires only 1 level5 wb and get your teslas to level3 coz you will have other stuff to upgrade on th8 such as third wiz tower and third air defense etc etc.

I am a pretty much maxed out th7.(Except for dark troop upgrades) i would suggest you get all of your walls pink and at least half purple. Dont worry about dark troop upgrades(they are not that good anyways and you can always work on them at th8) but you could always get your king to level 2 or 3 its not that hard. Mines upgrading to 5!;)

So with all pink walls I'll be good? Since I have 3 builders, I'll upgrade the 2 teslas during TH upgrade.

The point is that I don't want to stay TH7 for too much longer. Walls take forever. So does DE.

i'd do all walls to level7..its not that bad when you think about it...as a level8 brick is 500,000k level 7 is only 200k.
what have you done all this time since march:) ?

Walls DO take forever, and DE takes a bit, but guess what? Walls at TH8 will take even LONGER!
I maxed my TH7 save for DE troops, DE barracks and BK. IT saved me a TON of time at 8. I average 200/200 maybe a bit higher at 8. However, you can find 400+ at 7 FREQUENTLY!

I totally recommend at least pink walls, would highly recommend purple.
Max ALL of your defenses and if you can, barracks. Also, make sure to get those ADs to 5, they take forever...

Its up to you but a maxed base makes the next TH that much easier and it seems like you don't play a whole lot..

There is 211 days of work at TH7, 401 at TH8. If you're tired to be TH7, it will be worse at TH8. You need to learn self control. It'll help whe you'll be at TH8+.
