Lab is not done yet though I've got about 3 months if i finish everything but all my war and farming stuff is done.
All but a few gold mines and little bombs are maxed and those will be done in less than 2 weeks.
I'm at ~70 skulls, ~180 lavas. 20 BK, 17 AQ
I plan on staying till until the lab is done and seeing where my walls royals are at that point.
Also planning on seeing if I get looted a lot harder after the update, if I do I may go to 10 just to get those fancy infernos to protect my DE while I work on royals.

I would say no, 2 reasons.
Firstly, loot searching will cost a lot more gold and those juicy Th 8's you like raiding will be much less rewarding.
Secondly: Now there are going to be TH 11 roaming the place with higher level troops and new heroes, your freshly new TH 10 with mid walls and low heroes will be perfect for them and you will loose even more loot per attack.
I fully maxed my base at TH 9, lvl 30 royals and lvl 10 walls. I highly recommend that approach. It helps a lot.
How can TH9 hold loot after the upgrade?? You need to protect TH, DE, 8 storages, all with 2 xbows? no way.
Go for 25 more walls, 2 infernos, one more xbow and max level gibarch to wreck TH9s while protecting the loot..plus, Th10s get DE really fast.
Skip TH9. TH10 is the place to farm and develop.
Move up, I want to smash your base.
Might as well pick on th9's with the freeze spell and see if there are more troops to max when the update of the century drps...
I don't plan on upgrading until I have a resource I can't use. If that means either I finish lavas or 30/30 heroes and then i'll move on. Right now I'm focusing on DE so I think I'll get the royals done first.
I'm 30 walls away from being completely maxed TH9. I plan to stay until they prove TH10 is as balanced as TH9 is. (probably never)
