Since I can't find a good looting range, I was wondering if I would find good loot in the high trophy levels(1700+.) I've seen lots of people above 1700 and they say they have good loots. Is this true?

If you are going up there for loot thats a different thing. Don't just go to chase trophies unless you feel you are strong enough to do so :)Quote:

First time I grinded past 2k troph it was a challenge. When I dropped to sub-100, then climbed back up to 2k, it was waaaay easier as I had stronger troops, buildings, etc. The third time was a non-event, etc, etc.
These days after the matchmaking nerf, many are preying (cough, I mean farming) in the 1k-1.5k zone or so. It goes to reason that there are some naturally fatter cows in the 1.8k-2.5k zone. I pop up there once in a while still. I'm a firm believer of equal opportunity of raiding; everyone must have an equal chance of getting raided by me!
The problem, of course, at the upper ends is... there are people there who can legitimately break through your defenses. They are called troph chasers, LOL, not true-farmers per se.
So, like the others, I'd recommend you check it out. One common sense rule, if you can't climb there easily and rest there, you aren't really farming there but on that lonely troph chasin' road. For me, the troph jumps slows down at the 2.5k threshold now, so I don't farm past 2.25k or so... just a bit of cushion and it makes some difference.
There's some fat cows around the 2k threshold, just wanting to join the bigger-name clans who tend to have 2k troph invitation lists. But, those fellas aren't really ready to play with the big boys and their buildings aren't upgraded well enough.
