I can imagine that people continuously exiting and re-entering the game to get fresh newspapers was putting a big load on their servers hence the sensible idea to not give the best newspapers to people who continuously restart the game and instead give the best newspapers to people who play continuously.

many people who advertise usually need help with their boats but on quite a number of occasions when i went to their farms i saw that the boat had only 6 or 7 hours left before it was gonna depart. it makes me wonder if the ads were indeed old, or that they had only just flagged for help recently, or nobody had been helping them for that few hours. what could be the best possibility?

anyhow my chances of buying the particular advertised item are the same, whether is it i open the paper now or wait until a new refresh. if the item is too hot, like an expansion item, metal bars or jewelry, i still dont get the chance 90% of the time. the only way that works for me is still to follow a farm and wait until in-between ads to see if the person will put up something, or wait until everyone's asleep. i find that i get better chances after midnight (usually US time)
