I have a theory. When my wife was sitting beside me, she had a different newspaper then I did. When you open a paper, maybe other people have already opened that paper before you did? That could explain why stuff is already gone. Not only is the item already gone, but the seller has already claimed their coins.

Not all good ads are fake, but many ads are. And it is not only annoying but also frustrating. I'm not speaking of the items being shown and then 'someone has bought this item' Im referring to when your paper refreshes and you go to a good ad, but it was empty with impossible farm stats. An the same ad gets put into the paper again. I have seen the same ad twice on the same paper

I agree that the speed that things are flying out of the DD is probably 90% because of the truck bonus, but 10% from the update. There is a definite lag when trying to go to other farms, worse than before. And for me, every farm I click on, brings a loading screen. It's brief, and does in fact let me in to the farm, but by then..everything is gone. I sure hope this smoothes out. I see a LOT of angry people who can not connect, or have lost their farms. I would be heart broken. Playing HayDay is my stress release ;(
i've come across a level 9 player with 30,000 visits and 600 followers but s/he was selling like 1 bolt for 1 coin probably thats why?Quote:

came across something weird today. this level 7 player has nearly 6,000 visits with 0 roadside shop revenue, 41 followers and 50 likes. how is it even remotely possible since i saw the ad in the newspaper? it couldnt have been that someone bought the item. this person must have taken the ad down using diamond but why?
I also have the feeling that the newpaper that you get when you first enter the game is now a bit old. I get a better hit rate if I play for a while in game and then open the DD. If it has only recently refreshed then I get a pretty good hit rate, whereas when opening the DD straight after entering the game there is almost never anything left to buy.
I can imagine that people continuously exiting and re-entering the game to get fresh newspapers was putting a big load on their servers hence the sensible idea to not give the best newspapers to people who continuously restart the game and instead give the best newspapers to people who play continuously.
