Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on Barch/BAM after the update.. With the change in the shield system etc, I have a feeling dead bases will be even more scarce after the update.
I'm a heavy Barch/BAM farmer, But guess I might have to move to GiBarch.. TH10 with hero's and walls left..

barch and bam have usually been abandoned base attacks for loot. that or people who dont have their heroes to snipe a th. so you should be fine if you can still find those dead bases

You are late to the party by a few years. I have been "Is barch dead after the update" threads for over a year. When I search the forums, I see it has been going on since the first year of updates.
I know people have been saying Barch is dying for a while, It's obvious supercell have been trying to kill it off, But I still am concerned with the new shielding system, Dead bases will fall lower and lower and lower in to the dark abyss!
Barch is an army composition not a tactic. I barched most of my way up to late th9. Not by hitting inactive bases but by raiding storages. Combined with rage and some eb and a small number of goblins you could do a lot of damage.Quote:

For 10 days or so then Supercell puts them so far back in the queue you will never see them again. The dead bases we see are just from the very casual folks. We will see if they stick around for the new system.Quote:

TH's no longer being located on the outside of your base has NOTHING to do with being able to loot dead bases with full collectors.

Barch will never be dead I'm sure. It will be dead only when they remove troops from barracks & until then we will still use the most 2 efficient compositions in the game. Also with GW barch is more powerful imo.

Lol yeah I always feel guilty when 3 starring with barch :) some th9s can be surprisingly tough though and I won't even 3 star with gibarch, although that usually cos my aq is upgrading.
