How about adding mention notifications in the clan chat? This could be accomplished via push updates or placed in the in-game inbox...or both.
After logging in after a few hours for example, difficult to sort through the 100+ posts and find that someone asked you a question or such.

Clan chat is meant to be a conversation place - if you need to ping someone, chances are they'll check clan chat within 2 minutes or are offline anyway. Would be very nice but semi-redundant.
Yes, but how do you ping someone? I don't know of a way and that is what I am asking - like twitter -- when you @mention someone, they get a notification.
If you are offline, you'll get a notification that someone mentioned you
I don't think having a notification would be good simply because of the thousands of people playing at once and the sever strain that it could cause.
