Quick de troop upgrade question

I haven't been playing as much as usual and so am left in the position of having to decide btwn a hero upgrade and upgrading hounds. The hero upgrade would not unlock another ability level... At the slow rate I am going these days I want to make the best decision, so as, to have decent war troops. Thanks for any opinions

I did hounds instead of the queen. I don't use them often, but it's great to know I can rely on them if I find the right base so definitely do hounds, the +2 damage on the hero won't make too much difference, especially if you're going at a slow pace!

Thank you for the input...that is what I am thinking too. I am currently going slow because I foolishly let my defense get way ahead of my offense...so am only working walls, troops and heroes.
