What's the purpose of leagues?

That would leave them in exactly the situation they are in now, except they won't be earning a worthwhile league bonus.

If all the TH10's drop to silver then not only would they get attacked by other 10's but if there is anything worth having in their collectors then they'll get attacked by lower TH's too, simply for that loot, regardless of whether the attacker ends up shielding the defender or not. High TH's in low leagues simply do not care about stars or bonuses, they only want loot.

If I was in silver right now, I'd be hitting any fat TH10's for loot (I'm a TH9) without caring on the final outcome other than getting the loot.

But, I'm currently in masters and the bonus pays for my army so I DO care about getting at least 1 star as well as the loot. Consequently I next past most of them.

QED leagues do matter. Not only can you earn more in bonuses, but it also changes your army comps and your style of attacking.

yeah the penalties may help, but even a reduced % of loot when you have hit the cap is still going to be enough for guys to hit you. if the option is getting 70+% of the loot you offer or attacking a th10 and maybe getting half their loot, lots of guys will happily take less loot and not face infernos

I bet it's all fine when u attack TH8 so stop complaining becuz ur getting smash by TH10

not many th8s in master 1 and not worth attacking anyway im not complaining just telling it how it is, making massive changes with out thinking about the consequences makes them morons or they just dont care about the effect but mostly dont see the point in leagues if the only thing its based on is wins and losses and not your lvl its like the xp lvls another pointless part of the game when you get it from cutting down trees.

You missed the point. If said th8 were in masters II then its game on. But if that th8 were in Crystal than it shouldn't be showing up as a target for me. The issue was with the villages being attacked outside their league, not the lvl.

Gold, Crystal, Master attacking each other ....pfff... no biggie.

When does SC fix matchmaking above 3200?

Forget the endless searching through 1 cup offers for attacks, I'm tired of getting hit for huge trophy losses by players of any TH level 800-1000 cups lower then me and in the event I do win a defense gaining 0 from it.

Huge problem for anyone pushing.

the update should fix that no more 1 trophy offers unless you hitting a guy way below you and there reducing the amount of trophies you loose when hit by someone lower especially in the higher leagues
