leaving during war without attacking, please stop this

i think the most annoying bad habit in the game is leaving during clan war, BEFORE any attacks?

leaving after 1 or 2 failed attacks seems a common occurence as well.

i know this happens nearly always in new , small clans, where the guys want to war before getting to know their
clanmates, mainly because some refuse to post.


has it ever been suggested to "freeze" any members put in war till the 2 days is over?

i think this would stop those who hop around enjoying ruining wars because of no penalty.

Even if you lock them in the clan for 2 days, they could still just not attack.

I can only suggest finding reliable members (recruiting on global isn't a good idea).

its not fault of the system, this issue is between the leader and how he will handle his members, ofcourse getting loyal members is not easy its takes hardwork to build a successful clan

I suggest naming and shaming them on global

I have found, at least from the clans we fight, their members leave and then come back. Presumable to go get higher cc troops to attack us with. Or seek advice or who knows.

I'd like to see... if a person in war leaves the clan, when they come back their two attacks are forfeit and they are now just a war spectator. They get the "new" thing next to their name so I think it would be possible to do - all members with New are spectators, overriding any pre exiting positions within the war.

That will stop clans from getting outside help and whatnot. Then it truly is clan v clan, not clan and help v clan.

Also... all New members are spectators in the Battles Only and cannot actually see the bombs and traps of the bases. This would instantly end spying.

Hi mate, sounds like you have some organization issues there.
We never let new people war at first, they watch and get accustomed to our system etc
It comes down to judgement, we get it wrong sometimes too....but can usually cover the odd AWOL here and there

There shouldn't be any way to "locK' members in a clan. It's their own choice which clan to join, and which clan to leave. The only way to stop this is to choose reliable members to fight in wars.

War participation problem has been a headache for a lot of clans, especially those who try to recruit new members. Often, we see members who opt in but just dont use their 2 attacks. And, they just refuse to set it to opt-out.

I would like to see 2 changes to counter this problem.

Firstly, allow leader to change their opt-in/out option.

Secondly, default setting for a new member is opt-out. With this, if they sincerely wants to be involved in war, they will definitely change it.

This happens to me from time to time. Not that often, but it happens.
And it's not always just new members, sometimes my loyal long standing members that are otherwise very active, something comes up, their wifi is acting up, or they forgot, whatever.

I rarely recruit, but recently we had some members leave, so I decided to do some recruiting. All 3 members I recruited actively asked to be in the war, were active in donating and requesting before search, then before battle day started, they all left.

It didn't effect us that much, we still had a close to perfect war, and I moved on.
The one guy I noticed after that he didn't join a clan and his pumps are full.
Which weirded me out. Okay you actively looked for a clan, joined, asked to be in a war (near maxed th9, we're not talking some th5 noob), then just quit the game for the week after that? lol

Ah well. You can't control what people are going to do. I like to look at the league badge, if their attacks per season are going up regularly, are they donating, etc. It's the best way to determine who should be opted in or not.

It's still way better than before. I would've lost a lot of good active members if they missed a war, now I can just opt them out before they come back.

When you're in an adult war clan, life gets in the way, it's to be expected.
