More walls for TH7....

Building a decent base in TH7 is difficult; there simply aren't enough walls to take advantage of the basic design strategies.

SUGGESTION: Add the 25 walls recently given to TH10 down to TH7 and carry them through to TH10.

By giving those walls to an earlier TH, it becomes much less burdensome to upgrade them.

The new, expanded play grid will help all TH levels, but TH7 is already so ridiculously compact that it simply will not be able to take advantage of the expanded map size without more walls.

Lastly, in clan wars it is a guarantee that all TH7 bases will be three starred if the other clan is even moderately decent at warring; having another 25 walls would allow for much stronger base designs that won't be so easily there starred.

This would create a lack of incentive to progress a TH level, or at least some incentive. So, I don't think this should be implemented.

Walls are irrelevant at TH 7 because every TH7 base can be so easily three starred by TH7 dragons and lightning. All that is required is that the three lightnings hit an AD, and that the dragons are placed somewhere within the first 30 seconds. With a little bit of skill, it can be done economically with few dragons and lots of minions, walls still irrelevant. If concerned about the small DE cost of minions, tier 1 ground troops can be used for cleanup in which case the walls have an effect but barely.

See...I disagree with both of you and here's why.

First and foremost, there's plenty of incentive to move to TH8 already. Higher level troops, dark spell factory, second DE drill, third AD, bigger CC, stronger walls, higher level defensive structures and other buildings.... These are why we upgrade to TH8.

Second point - walls will not stop dragons, BUT they allow for a more flexible base design that is both more difficult to analyze for attacking and take longer to get through. There's potential positioning of defensive structures and other buildings that could easily throw a dragon attack off or slow what's already a seriously slow troop down a little more. Right now, though, it's a joke - as mentioned, any TH7 base can be taken down by a dragon attack.

See, this is the problem - it's ridiculously easy to take down a TH7 base, and by extension a newly formed TH8 base. It's simply no challenge at all. We're just wrapping a clan war and I kid you not, I downed a max TH7 with level 2 dragons then did the same to a new TH8. It wasn't even a challenge; that should not be so easily done. I mean, seriously...what's the point of even bothering to do a clan war with TH7?

Adding the 25 walls in at TH7 also means these will be available to TH8 and TH9 as well. Golem and PEKKA based attacks are most common at these levels, both of which are largely ground attacks. For those smart enough to upgrade their walls along the way, having these before TH10 further means less "upgrade anxiety".
