Our clan is doing a trophy push when August starts. Should I upgrade to th9 for the push? I may be cut if I don't get a certain amount of trophies (still not set). I want the two xbows badly. Don't forget I'll be able to upgrade other buildings in the 10 days it takes. Yes or no? And how killer are the loot penalties?

When people ask if they should upgrade their TH9, the answer is always no. Unless you are completely maxed out, do not upgrade to TH9. You have 5 builders, and in no way are you premature. Just work at it, and it will come quick.
Can you give me a estimation of how long it'll take me to max out, I have no clue, honestly. Not including walls.Quote:

Lets get something straight. Xbows are not as good as you think. They may be intimidating, but they arent worth the rush of TH. I would know, because I am a premature TH9....
Lvl 89 with lvl 7 walls, and some defenses at TH 8 level. Lvl 8 walls is torture for for me... I rushed to get xbows, and they are only proficient at lvl 3.
i just started my th9 upgrade. i have a a few dozen lvl 8 walls, but most of my walls are lvl 7. i've maxed almost everything else, including teslas, ad, and all four barracks.Quote:

Ultimately its up to you. I understand those long upgrades can sometimes cause boredom and it's what ultimately made me upgrade to TH 9. You look pretty maxed out, my only suggestion would be to at least get all your walls to LV 7.
Nooo dont do it! Get higher walls first its so much harder finding good matches at TH9. I'm a very premature TH9 and I go through about 20-30 bases before finding something decent (150k+) matches
So if you can deal with that do it up
Your defenses aren't in bad shape, but you should give yourself more time at TH8 for the walls. TH9 loot really isn't so bad, but I just played on my brother's TH8 this weekend and I had forgotten how much better it is... So I'd take advantage of that while you can. If you do go TH9 you should be fine though, you'll just have low walls for a long time.
