Yes Windows Phone only makes up for about 5% of the market, but its phones are usually of really good value for the price. I know that there a lot of people like me who want to switch but can't because of clash of clans not being on Windows phone. Microsoft is also making it easier to port apps over to the windows phone store.
Can you download an android emulator on the MS phone? If so, you can play clash through the emulator

I don't feel to bad that Microsoft phones don't have clash.... ...being that MS nearly had a software monopoly on the desktops.
Back in in the day when they had the opportunity to have a great phone..... They just told people what a great operating system their Windows mobile was... Then apple and later Google really did come along with a great mobile interface. Now that Microsoft caught up 5 - 7 years later, people that go with the windows phones complain that very few software companies support mobile programs for them. Just comes with the territory of being late to the party.
Why buy a tablet, when people have perfectly working PC's?
Do not forget, even if they are not that expensive, there are such things as people being disabled, and low income.
Besides, if that was the best answer, then think back before tablets, and they said, "Just buy an inexpensive pc". Where would tablets be now? Nowhere.

It'll still be SC's game, no matter what OS it's made for, so MS's monopoly it a moot point. This would not add or subtract from it.
A point has been raised above that these applications are playable on the PC. If you could play Clash on the PC, you could basically h@ck and stuff. Clash was designed to be a MOBILE game, and expanding to Windows would lose SC money, time and resources!
