If your IQ is more than 30 you should feel both. Becuse its obvious thats will harm you.
And the new change is an obvious harmful one if it will remain the same

I would suggest waiting till the complete upgrade is out and see what you think off it then. Need I remind you that clan wars was once a upgrade aswell and so were heroes. Not many liked that idea back then aswell and now we can't imagine playing without it
