What will happen to casual player with rushed base?

just got into my mind and i've been wondering, what will happen to them? many of them probably exposed their th too hoping for easy shield because their terrible weak defenses and wall couldnt really defend. i'm guilty of becoming a th sniper too, feeding off league bonus these past few days and while i'm th sniping to climb higher i found many, many, many rushed th9 and th10 with terrible layout, pink walls and th7 levels defense. looks active because they're in high league with some storage loot and exposed th. i think some of them do rage quit when sc introduce +/- 2th in matchmaking earlier but some were still around because can still hide behind the cheap shield. what will happen now that they cant hide anymore? thought?

btw i have a casual, rushed friend too. th8 with th6 defense. played 2 or 3 times a day after he got home from work. i think he only got his bk when he's th8 too, and thats after i changed his base with th outside in the corner after seeing his defense log full of full on raid, looting whatever puny de he manage to save from his lv1 drill lol

They will quit. Simple as that.

I agree they'll probably quit. Which is a problem for us... since they are the people we farm from. Their collectors contribute to our upgrades.

Don't worry I'm sure without snipes we will all be rolling in loot. Its those greedy snipers that are causing the problems.

Luckily all i play for is war.

They'll be wrecked and get a shield. Then, with collectors/attack under shield, improve what's rushed. Where is the pb?:confused:

If you are casual its very unlikely that you can ever earn enough loot to break even.

Thats the problem. Before they had a relatively low chance of getting crushed each attack.

Now they will be crushed more often. When every single shield they get starts with -200k loot they will quickly lose any desire to continue.

When you really think about it in regards to a business model, do you really think Super Cell wants them playing anyway? They are more than likely not contributing to the income of the company by buying gems. They have simply downloaded the app and played at their leisure, which does nothing for the company. This update will more than likely weed out those who really want to play. I do not see it making much of a difference except for the fact that there will be more abandoned bases until they are hidden from us in match making. People will still download the game and will be none the wiser as to how the new game play system works. The game will go on.

They'll just have to upgrade their defences, like everyone else.

I never said the game "will fail or is doomed"

But, free to play games only make it because a ridiculous number of people play them. While casual players may not make SC money, they are seat fillers.

Warm bodies that keep this game's economy moving. That give "elite" players something to laugh about.

You can already see F2P games failing by droves on the PC because they can not keep a large enough user base.

We will see but my money is on a huge list of changes that are required to fix what this update breaks.

This indeed. We've got 1 guy in our feeder clan who has done something like 20 raids total - in nearly 3 years. He is quite close to a max TH10 now. He doesn't war either; just donates troops and doesn't mind getting low level troops in return.
We have another in our main clan who is also TH10 and might do 1 raid per new season. He built almost entirely from collectors. I'd rather not lose him! I've been playing with him for 18 months. He was first in our clan to 1000 war stars. But with a job and 2 kids, I don't see him becoming an ultra-competitive farmer.
I think he's probably safe - as a decent TH10 no-one will attack unless he is swimming in loot. I suspect his upgrades will slow down a lot, but he'll probably play on. But if this change happened 12-18 months ago when he was a rushed TH10, I'm 100% certain he would have quit. As will the other players playing like him, but a year behind.

Clash was a success because everyone, no matter how casual or hopeless, could make progress of sorts. Forcing it to become much more competitive seems a curious decision!
