Can 3x lvl 4 Lightning destroy a lvl 6 AD?

I don't think it can but I want to be sure.

Level 6 AD has 1050 hit points.

Level 4 lightening has 390 attack. So, yes. 3 will destroy that AD.

Assuming you are at early TH8 and trying mass dragons, I suggest you try 1 earth quake and 2 lightening. That also takes out AD and you can get 1 extra elixir spell say heal or rage for your dragons :)

You should always assume at least one bolt will miss, so 3 lvl 4 will be close.

Yes I've seen it done a million times as long as u don't miss with lights
