I know some are gonna disagree when I say but I think there should be a cancel button for lab upgrades just a few minutes ago i upgraded my heal spell but i meant to upgrade my rage spell but now I have no elixir to train an army for attacks plz add a cancel button SuperCell.

As was said, this needs to be in Ideas and Feature Requests.
There initially was for both lab and building upgrades with full refund. These were removed/nerfed because it was a very easy way to hide gold/elixir from being looted.
I wish I could un-gem the troops I accidentally gemmed yesterday when skipping through the barracks' pages
Fix: double check what you're doing
You would be able to "store" a great amount of loot in your lab, if you could receive something back. If you couldn't, noone would cancel a research, because of massive Elexier lossage

Canceling Upgrade→Loss Of Resources→Bad Effect On The Economy
Many Updates Before If you cancel brewing spells then it was refunding only half amount of those Spells cost but that was making loss of resources and that's why that half refund was changed by full refund. I expect you have understood the point!
