wait for the update before you ask things of it.
Your patience and perseverance is something to aspire to.
Bump for a clock that shows my PBT status
Agreed an on screen timer stating the current pbt left is the easiest and one of the most logical solutions to this entire issue. Probably wouldnt be too difficult to design and implement either. Please look into resolving this issue asap as not doing so will ultimately cost you ( Supercell) the so very sought after monetary gains you have desinged the pbt to generate. As a direct result of having to endure this and make it known here i will be forced to re-rate the game to the lowest possible rating in hopes that it will help to bring attention and resolve to this issue.
So easy to implement a countdown right where it says "Shield: None."
It will start ticking as soon as you log on and stop when you log off and it will be removed when you get a shield and increase by 15 mins if you have VG.
Indeed!
10chars
This would also help the confusion with logging off and logging back on.
The whole system has to be fixed before this, though. Also the push notifications would help.
Oh I want this so badly..... Please christmas SC.....
Nah. Just play less. Simple.
TIMER IS COMINGGGG!!!!!!
We still need push notification.
I don't think a timer would work as well as you think, since the point at which you will be booted off depends on the cumulative online time without a Shield. Logging off and back on would still throw people, since the expected time to be booted off would shift.
Current thread I've got going (linked in my signature) has that and a couple other ideas. Currently looking for more, or better ideas, and would like to keep stuff in one spot.
Just.. please, no pure rants about how bad the PBT system is. You can rant some, but a good part of you post should preferably be either helping brainstorming ideas, or reviewing what is listed in the thread.
Really? Double posting to me?
And if we are going to pull that kind of junk, my Idle Mode idea was posted almost a year ago, and it is turning out to be quite relavent to the current PBT issue, and maybe more relavent to your idea. (there is a reason why I don't pull that kind of rank on people, it is never fun, and gets people nowhere)
Look, I don't care which thread gets used, just as long as something is used to keep things managed and together so people don't reinvent things and make redundant threads.
So far it looks as though I'd be better at managing the topic on this, given you forgot you already replied to me after just replying to me.
This isn't a time for personal pride of wanting to be the leader of a topic to get in the way of things, especially with the current junk that's going on with the PBT that is making more than a few people incensed at SC. Besides, do you really want to handle reporting angry twits confusing your thread for a sounding board for their rants, and derailing the thread? I've seen and made threads that got pulled off topic horribly because of high emotional arguments. I kind of know what to expect after being here for awhile.
If we are going to be using this thread, you will need to update the first post on it, and possibly set some ground rules, and be ready to be a mini moderator for it, because it will get rather messy rather quick if and when things pick up.
You guy are aware that they're fixing the PBT issues when the Christmas update comes out, right? Like any day now. Then your precious thread will be garbage. Chill.
What's wrong with double posting? I would edit but I'm not seeing the edit button on mobile right now, I'm not sure why. I just wanted to add to my reply.
This "Idle Mode" thing, even if relevant, is not exactly my idea that I posted that is about to be implemented.
If you want our threads combined, it will show up as my thread, since mine came first. If you want everything to stay together, it's not my fault that I had the idea first.
I didn't forget that I replied, I was just adding to it (refer to paragraph 1, can't indent so I'm skipping lines for each paragraph).
I don't care about leading a topic, I'm just saying that mine came first so a merge will result in my topic being on top. It's not my fault that I thought of this before the update, rather than after the update as most people did. I did this for fixing the offline timer too, in my signature.
If you want me to add your stuff quoted in my post, sure, I will, when I get back to my computer. Or we can ask a moderator to merge it for us. And I don't see the point of being a mini moderator, unless you mean replying to everyone. In that case, yes, I can do that.
Then LINK the thing dang it! It isn't that hard.
And yeah, tell me about it, woudl rather attack problems than people.
Also, I trashed the last post, which you quoted, since ClashCon replied again and didn't have time to remake a good reply right now.
Found out I was rushing replies, and that usually never ends well, so I'll have to get back to this later.
added edit... again: and check out that official update when I can.
Sorry, I've been reluctant to link since my computer has a gl!tch that makes the page look messed up until I refresh if I post a link. Anyway, http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...ptional-update
edit: oh c'mon! clashcon=elite pekka ninjas
You do know the "Link" in my last post is actually a hot link to the Facebook entry on the update that was just mentioned, right? I checked it fast, and copied and pasted it into the URL inserting forum feature. Anything in orange is almost always is the forum's URL style color. I also try to put important links in bold, and also underlined since I'm used to seeing them underlined back in the day when the Internet was younger.
I probably should easy up on people's computer usage skills. I'm a bit overly proud of the fact I can make posts that look like they are done on a PC, when in fact they have all been done via a smartphone. :smirk: Have yet to recheck the 'mobile' version of the forum, since the big restyle upgrade, but I rarely every find a mobile version of a website that just works well for me, and just do Desktop versions always. A Note 3 and Android Chrome can easily handle it... albeit a little touchy with some of the tiny buttons.
Hard not to be proud considering 10-15 years ago I never in my wildest dreams would think I'd even type or write often, let alone so much to make people sick of me at times. :smirk:  :( Still need to work on not doing that last part. (making people sick).
So... what do we do with the PBT threads? People as a whole have been ignoring my thread (no big surprise there... what's to talk about there? Keep saying 'nice looking ideas' on a regular basis?) and this one had it's purpose already filled.
I did realize that after I posted the thread, I didn't realize at first because I thought you were asking Andrew to post the link because we don't have evidence. I guess Andrew and I both thought the same thing. I don't understand what you're saying about our computer usage skills. How are we not good with computers just because we didn't realize that you had a link? And how is posting on mobile something to brag about? I can do it too. Here. I'm posting. Look. :):cool::thumbsup::thumbsdown:. Emoticons. EDIT: Here, An edit. What's so special about that?
I jokingly (or try to anyway) give people a hard time when they say something about how their smartphone is limiting them, since I'm more than used to using one, and doing so quite well... maybe too well... or rather too much...
Anyway, that's pretty much the extent of that. It wasn't aimed at all at either of you. Usually it would be aimed toward something obvious, like someone that just spells things horribly, and say I can do better and I'm on a smartphone. :p
When I saw two people in a row post links, it dawned on me that my hotlink could be understandably looked over. I was just saying how I format my own links for further reference. I was amazing and thrilled that I can highlight text and tap formatting buttons on the reply page, and still have them function just like they do if on a PC, so I've been using those ever since. :D I'd type out the URL text, copy the URL codes, highlight the text, and hit that little globe with a chain link on it and paste the URL, and it will do the forum code tabs for me. Saves a lot of effort, and so glad it works on mobile! Same goes for bold, underline, etc.
As for the Emotes I used last time, I try to put some tone of voice and feeling into my text. Not overly so, but enough to get the right tone of voice across, and in turn the right implied message. Also there are some things better done in picture than in text. The ":smirk:  :(" was intended to be the smirk melting into a frown as I went from being proud to be able to type well, to realizing I sometimes make people sick, and being sorry about it. So kind of look at that as a series of mini comic pannels, since animation is rather hard to do on the fly here.
