Is there an alternative base out there for farmers. Lets outthink the new update

Ok. Just wondering how much percentage is the town hall. Is it 15% of the total percentage take down. They say they need 30%. Now instead of sending town hall in the corner, can we place around our base walls with defense of course. This way they would need to deploy the 50% required army. We will lose townhall loot, but it could mean that we may save more of our storage?

Just looking for another way to skin the tiger so to speak.

What are your thoughts around base design for farmers around this.

Should we be using a hybrid base, or trophy base? What are your thoughts.

Likely options:

1) townhall in, segmented base, never keep loot in storages, keep all collectors low level. Only raid in sessions to obtain upgrade X, once you have it, spend the rest of resources any way you can, just don't leave them there. This base will not be attacked, and if it gets attacked, you won't care.

2) if you have high lvl collectors, put them inside, some (empty) storages on the edges to tank. Essentially a trophy base. Keep those storages empty.

Farming bases will need to be more like troll bases now, or really strong bases that make people have to work hard for all the treasure. A lot of people will still be barching, so bases that help you take on stuff like that, will have it easier collecting the loot, and the ones that can beat you, and give you a shield, use the advantage of the shield for your collectors to get your loot back up. High level collectors can fill up what you lose in an attack easy in shield time, and now that you can search for loot in an attack, with a small penalty to shield, this should help you in gaining loot if you are careful and attack at the right times, especially if you are like a Ballonion or lavaloonion type attacks for loot, it will help greatly, or should. On that note, I am working on bases that have a strong focus on stopping three stars

Everything we know about farming bases is out the window.

Since the TH will now have 25% of the DE loot thats available, I'd say a HYBRID or TROLL base would be best for farmers to use after the update drops.

Some simple changes that everyone can do for their bases.

1. Keep TH semi protected near point and splash defenses (turning this into a minor troll base). This can be done by putting it strategically where it is covered well within the range of mortars and archer towers/cannons.

2. Push out all your mines and pumps by 2 tiles to force back the spawn areas such that the attacker will have to destroy them before moving in further to your base.

3. Keep your barracks, camps and other buildings as spread out as possible to force an easier 30%.

From my way of farming:

If yout Th is semi protected with splash defenses, I'll do one of this two things:
1) Attack you by the oposite side and get all your resources because you don't have protect they properly with the splash defenses, so I can put giant to tank and barb/archers to steal.
2) Next your base if you don't have the amount of loot that I consider profit to raid.

So it's the choice between lose all your loot and get shield or don't lose loot and don't get shield.

But it is! People will not attack with weak armies in fact on high leagues! I'm currently on master II, getting prepared to be attacked by giants, wizards, golens, pekkas, lavas, freeze spells and etc... :(

♥♥♥♥. :x yeah thats true also. Sturdy armies will take longer to cook.

But you still get league bonus if u manage 50%.

I'm sure there will be players //cough//like myself//cough// who won't mind. Because if you can GoBarch for 50% and still enjoy the league bonus; albeit not at 100%, why not?
