Loot, League Bonuses and Trophy Offers <-- Discuss it HERE!

SC, you asked us to wait until all 3 changes were announced and I did. So my view is:

1- It will be MUCH harder to protect loot
You made sure of that when you killed free shields, only give shields when 50% of enemy army is deployed, encouraged people to go for 70% destruction to maximize league bonus and last, but not least, increased the amount of loot we will make available for attackers. Getting raided by full armies more often (and you are making sure of that) also brings added cost of rearming traps, x-bows and inferno towers, to make it even better.

2- You reduced the amount of loot we get
As if removing the loot we get from snipes wasn't enough, you decided to lower the average loot bonus, as we now have to destroy at least 60% of the enemy base to get the same loot leagues give today. Is that enough? Nope. Now loot is spread over one more building (TH), meaning we have to destroy one more building to get the same loot.

3- You increased the cost of raiding
Let's see... we have to totally dominate an enemy to get full loot bonus and decent loot (70%+TH), so we have to spend more elixir and DE to farm.

4- You reduced the time we can stay online in a single session and made small sessions with offline time in between (while waiting for army to get ready) count as one session, unless someone crushes our base

Taking that into consideration, I can only think all the "tailoring the experience to player schedule" is ♥♥. You obviously want us to have less loot, slowing the overall player progress in the game. If you think there is too much loot in the game, SAY SO. Don't get me wrong, I think the removal of free shields from snipes is an interesting approach and could work, but you forced us to chose if we want to go real low and gibarch THs 1 level below our own (effectively pushing us into lower leagues - opposite of the intention) or go high and break even with full army attacks. Have you ever considered giving loot to defenses as a way to values successful defenses?

In my particular case, I am a TH9 with maxed defenses, about 40% walls lvl 10, lvl 20/22 heroes. In current game I already have to leave 300k/300k/2500de available for loot several times before I can upgrade anything (3M for walls, 100k+ de for heroes). What saves me most of the time is getting free shields. When I raid someone, getting 200k/200k/1k is considered a huge win. If you increase the loot I will leave available for others, remove my shield and force everyone to employ full armies (anything less than that doesn't even count as an attack) you are basically telling me that I will break even all the time... Awesome experience!

Edit: forgot to mention how wonderful it will be to keep coc open in the device while waiting for boosted buildings get my full army ready in 20 minutes. At least you are making us use clan chat more.

And the PB limit helps to avoid trolls like me and no life plebs which buys too much gems to stay online for long periods of time without being raided. YOU WILL FIND MORE OFTEN RICH VILLAGES TO RAID. The PB being an obstacle to moments of social gaming is steaming ♥♥ because it gets restored when you are rided, and you will be forced out of the game for a long time VERY VERY UNLIKELY.

TL;DR: I :thumbsup: this cuz gives the base for FAIR gameplay

Im quite adaptive guy with games, but i tell you this Supercell, i cant adapt to game which you cant progress without paying. Thats what you are doing now. Ive been playing for allmost two years now and found that easy shield was only good way to keep hard earned loot, and now you are killing it. I understand that you are company and all, but these changes hurt your biggest player base: players who play for free. Most players are just like me, they wont spend a single dime in this game.

The part I don't agree with is about the way forward for farmers. We won't know until the update drops, but hanging up clash is most likely to be the way forward, especially those of us going to th11. Historically the top th has meant terrible loot for the first year it is out :thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

i hope supercell cell knows what they are doing, have tested it out and are not just making a money grab as they wind things down.

The end result is outside town halls will be few and far between, because most people moved them inside, and the league bonus received for a town hall snipe will not be sufficient to cover the cost of Next'ing. R.I.P. town hall snipes; it was fun.

#2. Based on screenshots within the release notes, league bonuses appear to have increased by approximately 12%. For example, 100% league bonus for Champions III is now 200,000. It was 180,000 previously. This is not a "significant" increase, in my opinion. In fact, some can argue league bonuses have been significantly decreased because now it takes a lot more than it used to in order to earn 100% of league bonus payout.

My comments here are strictly based only on the screenshot within the developers notes, which shows a 200,000 league bonus for Champions III. To the best of my knowledge, this hasn't been officially confirmed and its possible "real" league bonus can be different for better or for worse once the update hits. I will update this section if I receive confirmation of new league bonus values. For now, I'm assuming 12% increase based on the screenshot provided.

#3. The way forward for farmers, in my opinion, will be a new strategy to push as high in trophies as possible where you can consistently receive 100% of league bonus by consistently doing at least 70% damage. You will want to be as high in trophies as possible in order to get the most league bonus, but you will want to make sure you can do at least 50% damage and aim for 70% damage consistently.

#4. As a farmer, aiming to do at least 50% to 70% damage every attack means a few things:

• More time spent training stronger armies
• More resources spent training stronger armies
• Less raids per day

Say for example a person has 6 hours per day to farm. A larger percentage of that person's time will now be spent waiting for armies to train and therefore squeezing in less raids than before during that same 6 hour window, especially with the PBT that will also kick you out at least once during that 6 hours.

In my view, going forward farmers will not raid as frequently as they do now, but their raids will (should) net more loot than they do currently. However, will these fewer high loot raids be enough to offset the cost of less raids per day and more expensive armies? That's my question.

If I can currently make 1,000,000 in resources today during a 6 hour timeframe with many small raids, will I still be able to make 1,000,000 in resources after update during the same 6 hour timeframe with fewer but bigger raids? I know Supercell is good at finding a balance, but I'm concerned about this one.

Its still possible that Supercell will give us more gold mines and collectors, another barracks to train faster, lower training time for certain troops, more spell factories, etc. I know some of these sound like a stretch and I might be going out on a limb, but trying to remain optimistic and hoping for the best.

I don't see a 1000 positive posts out of the millions that play though...

supercells definition of "significant" does not match our earth definition.

this has been an absolute joke of a list of updates so far.

everything seems to have 1 goal, to decrease the amount of loot in the overall economy...specifically by removing TH snipes...which has to account for at least 20-30% of the loot.

The only way that this could be saved was to give a loot bonus for defenses. an inverse relationship between the percentage you get hit with.

For example, if you can keep the damage under 30k, you get a 100% league bonus. If you keep the damage over 70% you get say 30% or something that roughly covers 50% of the cost to re-arm your traps...


This encourages DEFENSE rather than focus strictly on attacking. it also incentivizes creativity in terms of being able to design a base rather than copying everyone elses.

What this update really does is forces players to gem up armies or at least boost barracks. Previously you could go through bases, snipe and then "poke at" their collectors, etc. while your army was training, but now each attack needs a full army which could take 30-60 minutes to train. :mad:

If they really want to see skilled attacks then so be it. I love to do skilled attacks but guess what the real problem is! Yes, the troop training time it is.If you want to promote high level skilled attacks shouldn't the troop training time be reduced? Well there is always an option to "boost barracks" you'd say. So,50 gems for boosting barracks and spell factory and 10 more for a five hour raid session (not many people do this until weekends). Oh don't forget the cost of gemming heroes as well. Say no more Supercell, you seriously want to start making more profits don't you?

Also only like 5% of clashers have enough time to stay connected all day long, lot of us work and we dont play like for 12 hours soo this update is ♥♥♥♥... There will be huge amount of attacks that loot us and we wont get shields!!!

The gemmers and TH 10 Maxed are the only one good with this!

That's because most people don't say anything if they don't have a problem, but they'll instantly complain if there's something wrong.

Like at a fast food restaurant, I've never seen anyone tell the cashier their burger was amazing...great job, but if they put lettuce on it, and it wasn't supposed to have it, they'll complain right away.

Same thing here, if people like the change, they're probably not going to say anything...or more likely, they probably don't know about them because it's only a tiny percentage of players that read the forums. In my clan, only one guy knew about the changes, which is why I came here. Hardly anyone else knows about the changes coming.
