Training a full, high power army with spells and heros, is what will be needed to make attacking worthwhile now. These armies take a LONG time to train without boosting, on the order of hours just for spells and high level hero recovery times.

Long gone are the days of 15min training times for armies, UNLESS YOU BOOST WITH GEMS.....

So yea, this feels like it is about giving players even more reason to use gems.

Even more fun than attacking for me is designing a proper defense with tunneling and spacing. Please give league level bonus for successful defenses.

I politely disagree - Anytime a mechanic changes that adds more resources that is not generated by the most basic means (collectors) is going to see a spike in overall resources available. It's like higher government funding to a business that's already generating organic revenue - the overall cash flow is going to increase.

With regards to the shield mechanics changing as well; more bases with high amounts of resources are going to be open for attack vs sitting on a shield the majority of the time from a TH snipe. I think this makes for a much more offense focused game, the rewards are clearly much more substantial for people who play aggressive vs the 50/50 split of agros and passives that we've seen in the past.

First of all I like the fact, that you take the efford to explain the upcoming changes in detail and not in tiny little videos.

I have the feeling, that your thoughts on how to improve things for all players (not for each individual player) are solid and well balanced. The fact that so many players a complaining about the changes is an indicator that something went wrong in the past. Of course many player will have to change their behaviour. They need to be more active or loosing trophies. On the other hand it will be easy to attack during those periods of time each day, when we have the time, instead of playing according to the shield.

I hope good news will go on until we finally see the update.

I guess it's good for me that I don't farm the league bonus. I will still be going for collectors and easy to reach storages. I could care less about giving my opponent a shield as long as I get the loot. :thumbsup:

Harder attacks means more gold elix and de down the drain to rearm...they want to make it as hard to progress as they can...more gems spent, hooray for SC and softbank!

The average league bonus awarded will be LESS than before with this new system, so I do not understand why they think there has been a "significant" increase in league bonus. In addition to the average bonus being less, there will be less bonuses awarded due to the removal of sniping. Loot is going to be horrible. They will end up having to adjust and correct this problem within a few months I predict.

It would be nice if they would give some details of what the bonuses will be at lower TH levels. There are many of us in Gold right now that could probably stand to move up in trophies (myself included) but we really don't know at this point. I know Supercell wants us to move to the more appropriate leagues but that's no reason to hold back the info on details in the lower.

I'm a base with high amounts of resources. I used to be open for attacking more than a dozen times per day. True, my hall was out and often people didn't try to go after my loot, but it was there. It no longer will be available to you so often. There is no way I'm breaking my shield 12 times during the work day after this update. My base with full resources will just be sitting there on a shield and I will be doing something else.

So every attack now has to be essentially like a war attack. If they don't reduce cook times I can't see a way forward for my clash days.
