Simple Solution: Keep it Simple!
Tie Loot % Bonuses to a Percentage of how many trophies you hold as a Bonus Rider.
1500 Trophies = 15% Bonus on all attacks and War Wins
3000 Trophies = 30% Bonus on all Attacks and War Wins
5000 Trophies = 50% Bonus on all Attacks and War Wins
Obviously this should be a sliding scaled calculated for each battle.
This will solve your problem with our gutting the system.
Just a quick comment on this... It's a huge problem!
I have had this happen to me several times. Currently I am farm/push and just under 4K cups.
I find I am that frequently am a max cup offer giving up 19 trophies per star on defense.
The rare times I win a defense I gain 0 trophies despite the attacker losing 1. I'm guessing the issue is that these attackers are 600-900 cups below me.
SC really needs to adjust the match making process that allows master leagues to find high cup count champs and fix the disappearing cups.
Also on a side note, SC should have a minimum revenge trophy count to so when I track down these rotten thieves I could get something worthwhile back.
It wouldn't make the slightest difference, never mind solving any problem. And would annoy a lot of people.
The loot bonus already does vary considerably according to how many trophies you have. Why on earth would then taking away a part of the already insignificant bonus at low levels make any difference?
Current bonus ranges from 600 each of gold/lix at 400-499 up to 250,000 each of gold/lix and 2,000 DE at 5000+ trophies.
As a TH9 that high in cups, that is hardly surprising. I would be surprised if more than about 2-3% of bases at your level are TH9.
That (or lower) is where most TH9s are, and even most TH10s.Quote:

They are adjusting the cups. So the minimum offer now will be 6 cups.Quote:

That will be the same minimum AIUI. And removal of snipes should actually mean revenge is possible again at higher levels (though possibly still not as high as you are).Quote:

In the loot explanation thread they say:
Available loot is now distributed to the Town Hall as well as storages (maximum loot is unchanged)
Town Halls contain a share of loot equal to one Gold Storage, one Elixir Storage and 1/4 Dark Elixir storage
The Town Hall is now looted only when it is completely destroyed by an attacker
Town Hall Gold, Elixir and Dark Elixir storage increases by Town Hall Level
Has this been changed then as in that video is shows 180k in DE store and 20k in TH. Fairly sure my math is good enough to work out that's not 1/4.
Also how will it work with gold / elixir in situations of levelling up TH where your storages are upgrading does TH store the same as a max storage for your lvl. Or does it store 1/4 of your combined other stores.
Eg 2x lvl10 stores (1mill each) 2x lvl11 stores (2mill each) so your TH stores 1.5mill? Or will it store 2mill same as max store at lvl9 (don't remember store amounts so I've guessed!)
