I'm going to look at the loot injected in Crystal, Masters, and Champs because then we can deal with higher level TH, which is where most of the concern is.
In Crystal 1, the league bonus is 65,000 G/E, 300 DE.
Lets say that crystal is mostly made up of TH 8s. Currently, someone can take out a TH for a few barbs, making a net profit of 65,000 G, 64,000 E, and 300 DE (if the player is a TH8). If it is a higher TH, take on elixir may be a little lower.
Let's say the same player sees the same base, but with a TH inside. However, that player has a decent amount of total loot. Let's say the loot for a TH 8 is 300,000 G/E and 2000 DE. Our TH8 attacker spends his entire army of barchers to grab 2 or 3 storages. If he gets one gold and one elixir, he takes 100,000 G/E. The cost of a barch army is 45,000 elixir. This means he gets a net profit of 55,000 elixir and 100,000 gold.
In Masters 1, the league bonus is 140,000 G/E and 900 DE.
Let's assume a TH9 is attacking a TH 9. This TH9 snipes, making a profit of 140,000 gold, 139,000 elixir, and 900 DE.
If the same player raids the TH9, lets say the loot is 350,000 G/E and 2500 DE. Our TH9 spends his entire army of barchers for 3 storages (because a TH9 has more troops). If he gets one gold and two elixir, he takes 87,500 gold and 175,000 elixir. The cost of a barch army is 60,000 elixir, so he gets a profit of 87,500 gold and 115,000 elixir. He would get 22,500 elixir if he only got 1 elixir storage.
In Champions 1, the league bonus is 200,000 G/E and 1400 DE.
If a TH10 snipes a TH10, he makes a profit of 200,000 G/E and 1400 DE.
If the same TH10 raids this player, the loot available is 400,000 G/E and 3000 DE. Our TH10 spends his entire army of barchers for 3 storages. If he gets one gold and two elixir, he takes 100,000 gold and 200,000 elixir. The cost of barch army at TH10 is 75,000 elixir, so he makes a profit of 100,000 gold and 115,000 elixir. He would get 15,000 elixir if he got only 1 elixir storage.
What this tells us:
1) Storage raids almost always create a higher profit than TH sniping
2) Considering that more targets are going to be available after the update, farmers will more easily find targets with full storages and be able to make a profit.
3) Although I didn't explicitly do the math, you can see that the same rule applies for DE as gold and elixir: if you go for the DE storage, you'll make a bigger profit on DE than if you were just TH sniping.
I think this shows that while the "free" loot will be gone, plenty of loot that is hidden right now will come into circulation once the update drops. The economy is not going to crash.
