This update destroys one way of playing I do when I'm too busy to play but want to move forward still. I boost my collectors. I'm a th10 and now that There are no free shields I will have to buy the shield to aptly use the boosts or constantly log in to snag the resources or risk losing them.

There will now be absolutely no reason to ever boost mines and pumps as they will get pick more often.
Causal players are gone. I am not casual. I have 3 accounts and have spent tons of money. With casuals gone there will be less half dead bases and those left will be forced to log in more often to drain pumps and mines.

This is the end of cheap armies and the beginning of pay to play.

I am starting today by using my war TH on all accounts for normal play and stop playing so I'll be out of your que by the time the update drops.

I will be seeking a full refund of my investment as when SC was sold, they have changed from free to play to pay to play/progress. Trickery. I've got a few refunds already when they nerfed the hogs I had just gemed, nerfed the royals I gemmed and various other refunds from their tricks.

Quit, demand refund from Google or itunes, spread the word. Games dead.

It's getting worse and worse by the sneak peek. No more sneak peeks, please.

No matter how many new units, spells, town halls etc. you offer us it won't outweight your desire to be more greedy.

If this system is for the pushers, why not implement this for them, and leave the farmers to farm in peace. I am very unhappy with this update so far, maybe it's really time to quit this game. I think after the update my clan will fall apart, which took me 2,5 years to build, :thumbsdown:!

What lets fix that! Lets force players to play the way we want them to, while making it very hard to actually play that way unless you spend money.

This may end up breaking the game. Remember if something is working and making you money, you ride that train. You don't switch tracks and when people realize they are not getting off at the expected stop, they will never ride this train again.

Systemic issues take awhile to kill a game. The fact that it made money doesn't mean it still wasn't broken. You can make a bad game, and if done correctly, can make a flash-in-the-pan profit off of it. Actually, there are many bad games out there that exploit a person's susceptibility to addiction.

Yes, this game has an addictive quality about it, playing on (intentionally or unintentionally) many mechanism that can keep a person playing. There is the social aspect of sticking to a Clan, and the pain of leaving to waste the work that was put into it, among other things.

A game does not have to be so called 'perfect' to make money. But because of the almost impossible to avoid systemic problems that are added to the game (cause by unintended playerbase behavior to the set of rules in the game), a game will have a 'life span' to it. This one is actually 'middle aged' based on the average life expectancy of most published games, and if left as it is, will slide on to decrepit old age and be abandoned.

Supercell does not want Clash of Clans to die of old age. They are going to fight to keep it in it's prime. This set of massive updates is an extremely risky move on their part, and they know it. And they know a bit more than people give them credit for... But I even wonder if they did the math right and get this change 90%+ correct.

They're trying to get farmers to pay or push to later pay, that's why.

I feel like TH as loot storage is SC trying its hardest to stamp out farming bases that optimize space without a bulky TH.

So now farmers can't even sacrifice trophies for that
