Anti-Farming New Update in December

Ofcourse it'll mean ill lose more loot, and should i care?
No since i can attack for WAY more loot as well.

Should i care weaksauce attacks like a barch might not work anymore?
No, put some effort in attacking, find a right army or the right bases.

I play this game for about 2 years now, never been anything else then a farmer purely since it gave me the most shield time. however im always fed up about having to click next for 20-40 minutes (back in Champion 3) to find a decent base with decent loot) now it'll be spread more evenly.

Im quite exited however im also a tad sad of not having to option to lazy out and get shields for free.

I was personally tired of the whole TH sniping thing, loot will be better now. What ticks me off is the triple personal break. I'm fine with getting logged off every 3 hours but I don't want to get logged off every 15 minutes while I'm trying to damn farm.

This ain't the end o' farmin', ya'll. Ya'll just have to adapt. I'll put my TH outside, and lose a few resources. So? Eventually someone's gonna hit me for cups, o' just not at all. Either way, who cares? Sadly, people posting in this thread are TH8s who don't understand farming. I know this comment will get hate, but it's definitely not the end of farming.

So in galadons video this morning he said that this update was good because now people can get back to the strategy of the game.. But my question is, if farming was such an issue in the game, why are they only doing something about it now? Im keeping an open mind to this update but its getting difficult to.

Very well put. I do not think anyone could have said it better.

What concerns me more is that SC forgot about how the players made the game evolve and came up with farming bases, farming clans, farming raids etc...

If I find out that resource hunting and saving resources are going to make the game difficult I will just quit and start a new application like mobile strike.

What concerns me more is that there are tons of people in my clan and I am sure millions of others who have said if they dislike the 360-degree change that they are quitting clash of clans.

The problem lies with what you said they hired a bunch of executives who are on an ego trip. There was nothing wrong with the game. I understand if there was many complaints on the forums about farming clans, and farming in general than by all means change it. There was not. If people wanted trophies. They got trophies, If people wanted to farm, the farmed. People who wanted to do both, did both. Everyone had their niche and no one complained. It is what I call a spearheaded move in what I call Farmer Genocide.

supercell is rubbing their hands thinking that now people are going to spend more gems on shields which means more money to supercell. Now people are going to find the game aqaured, unlikable, and daft. So now you lost trophy pushers 10% of the population and farmers 30% of the population. That is going to be a lot more dead bases. As I said before supercell did not think about the impact or vision this update is going to have on the players. If 40% of the players do not like it they will stop playing and never turn back because supercell betrayed them.

For the month of December their will be a change in player activity. This is what supercell will be calling Black December for their game.

It will not end farming. U will just need skills. They are trying to make ppl play and be active. As a clan leader I welcome that.

It will be an end to farming. You will see. Over a night period you could easily get mini attacked many times and than a huge raid. While the huge raid may give you a shield. Long gone will be those days that you can accumulate coins and elixer and not really worry to much that you will lose it all the time.

Yup, this is supercells way of saying. Bye bye farmers hello rich gem purchasers. When in reality they will lose a heck of a lot of players who spent at least $30 for their builders and another $50 to $100 dollars on some Barack boosting for raids or other items.

if the players - farmers are disgusted they will leave leaving them with less players.

There's a huge difference between farmers as you describe them and people who buy gems on a regular basis.
Since there are multiple types of farmers.
those who keep their TH outside and further do nothing.
and those who keep their TH outside and attack on a daily/weekly basis.

The first one will seize to exist and I for one don't have a single problem with that.
The 2nd one will have to adapt a little. they need to place their TH inside and will lose a little loot everytime they get attacked. however if they have a decent base setup they'll earn it back in 1-2 attacks.

For the lower leagues (Gold and below) it doesnt even matter if you are a farmer or not. if you have loot it'll get stolen. (got 5 had 6 accounts from which 4 are currently below crystal) all of those have their shield outside due to getting a free shield and protecting it without me having to attack daily on 5 accounts.

My main account mostly bounces between master I and Champion III. there it makes a huge impact if you leave your TH outside 9/10 times you just get sniped. however when im attacking and i find someone with a TH out of walls. i snipe it, look at the loot and if its decent i just attack the whole base.

6/10 of my attacks against a TH10 exist of these attacks sometimes i manage to get a 2star but mostly i dont (as TH9) am i sad i cant do this anymore after the update?

a little, but not too much it just clears out the lazy people (mostly), some that have less time will lose more, but hey thats just how everything in life works.

It'll actually result in More loot overall, better matches and more fun in the end.

And the 2nd kind of farmer is the one that spends some gems on boosting barracks etc. the first kind nobody will actually miss.
