Why not just reduce play time to 4hrs (to work in with back to back boosting), then extend personal break time to say 20mins. We all then know the exact kick time and the length of the forced break.
None of these outrageous calculations and not knowing if and when you might be allowed to even play again. Easy to code for them and easy for EVERYONE to understand.

Guarantee the games profit numbers have plateaued and SC are trying to implement drastic changes in order to create new customers.
Problem is they're creating a huge problem in itself. These changes very well may be brilliant... But 80% of their gamers are casual and bringing this sort of complexity to a game that began as a simple game will cause them to lose many customers.
One can argue that losing casual gamers isn't an issue because they don't buy as many gems... Casual gamers are massively helpful to games like this.. It's the reason you have dead bases to raid, it's the reason why you enjoy having friends in your clan even though they don't play every single day all day.
I think they overstepped the game here and we will see a drastic drop in users within 6 months.
If a person stays online too long..... (previously 6 hours, now 3). Just let their bases be able to be attacked while online. Simple as that. This new system is punishing people that actually want to play the game a lot.
The aim of these first 2 sneak peeks is getting people's bases out in the "fray". This approach is going to mess up clans in war. People that are dedicated to their clan and running wars are taking a serious punishment here.
Seriously though KISS. Keep it simple stupid. Kicking people over and over after a few hours of play is going to turn off a MASSIVE amount of people and make them not even want to play anymore.
To say this in the nicest way possible..... Village guard is not good and will mess up HARDCORE players and CLANS that are serious about war.
Instead of getting kicked after 3 hours or whatever, the player gets a message that their base is vulnerable to attack. You could even go further to add a new mechanic where the player could actively take part in the defense somehow.
I've been a professional gamer for 20 years and this is by far one of the worst things I have seen being done to a great game.

It's my understanding that the 3 hour limit will not reset until either your attacked and get a shield, or you're attached at least three times without getting a shield. You can't just log off for 5-10 minutes and log back on to reset the 3 hour limit. I hope I'm wrong, but that is how I understand it.
