It is to help support the first feature mentioned in the sneak peeks.
It took some stuff away, but gave a few things in return for compensation. It pulls out all those bases that are hiding behind the so called 'farming base' (as said before, I'm using farming base to just stop trophy droppers, and not get pinged about every attack too weak to give a shield. I'm mostly inactive right now, and don't want to hear that junk)
With more bases shaken out of from their hiding spots, it will (in theory) open up more opportunities to hit an acceptable base. Sure, you will be exposed more, especially if using a farming base, but so will everyone else. This is Clash of Clans after all, Beat Up Bullies (as in hit others, and but not get attacked yourself).
This second sneak peek covers the issue of people feeling the need to babysit their game app constantly so not to be attacked. Why? Because currently, with so few targets, the few not doing a farming base will just get pounded repeatedly. Or ones with too much loot while still using a farming base getting sacked. The whole complex personal break and 'village guard' rules are to reduce the neurotic behavior of game babysitting.
Ladies and Gentlemen, here is the reality whether we like the upcoming changes or not at the first glance we have all seen, yes only the first glance...
these se chsnges are for everyone, SC is not singling anyone out saying these changes are for you. These are universal changes so we will all evolve with them.
Now let us hope that in the coming sneak peeks SC announces a fix for the fluffy bunnies. The users of 3rd party apps...theses are the players that have been slowly destroying this game. The ones that grab all the loot from farmers, the ones that push cups dishonestly, and the ones that we have all battled against in war. SC, this is our biggest issue in the game...fix this and the change it causes will be good for everyone.
HONEST PLAYERS...YOU GUYS ROCK...
You may note this That "successive" doesn't mean successful but it means next. So whatever type of defence, we win it or lose it, if below 30% destruction then 15 mins of VG and if more than 30% then shield. This is all what I understood. Let me know if i understood wrong
I hated the few times ive been kicked off after 6hrs. my normal time of play is 4hrs ish if im raiding. the 3hrs is a game changer for me and Ill be moving on. my friends who got me into coc will love it as they are the attack every few hrs or whenever types and ive spent more on boosting alone than they have spent at all. I can and will find something to do with my large blocks of time that I have due to my job. Thanks for the time killer and though i did spend a bit i look at it as a decent investment still for the hours of entertainment I got out of the game. Good luck on the changes and I hope it all goes well for you guys.
Nice work supercell you just ensured I never buy another gem from you. I guess your investors weren't happy with their profits off the game and tasked you with increasing their return on investment.
I have a dream that someday, someone would throughly understand the Personal Break and Village and explain it too me.
Am I asking for too much ?
Best I can tell, this isn't going to make us design great bases. This just encourages building a base that gives away loot and percent in trade for a quick shield.
That in turn will result in even slower advancement, which in turn will result in giving up on the game entirely.
I regret maxing my defenses and doing lvl10 walls. All they do now is make it harder to get a shield.
Important Note: This has nothing to do with the content in the sneak peeks, but rather the process of releasing them.
After sneak peeks the forum gets very busy. There are numerous complaints & opinions which is not going to change, but there are also hundreds of questions (many of which are repeated often) which can easily be avoided. How?
Shortly before the content is shared, involve someone who is not aware of the sneak peek (such as the game specialists) and see what questions they have or what they want clarified. Thus, you can gauge what is not clear, and at the end, you can have a section dedicated to answering these questions. I would imagine this would make the day much more manageable for mods (less repeated threads & posts) and it would make it much easier for clashers so that they can understand what's being said.
It's a very simple fix that I've used in the past for an eCommerce company when we've launched a new service. It would also eliminate many of the inaccurate posts we see, which if you've read through this entire thread, they are very common.
