They won't be shielded 100% of the time... It's the opposite. Most of them will probably attack during their shield because it doesn't break it anymore, so this will reduce their shielding time. Only in Titan 1 they will get 3 hours VG + 2 hours gemmed (so 5 hours in total) and will then get kicked off. So instead of playing 6 hours straight, getting one def and then a 12h shield (so one def every 18h), they will now probably get a shorted shield (as attacks will be deducted from it) and will stay online 5 hours instead of 6 hours before (assuming they are gemming for the VG).

So if nobody attacks me on my personal break I have to wait 3 hours before I can play? How is this fair?

I'm really concerned about the 3 hr time limit.

I'll have to see how it actually plays out in real time, and I hope it doesn't affect war coordination times.
If I watch the war for an hour, then close the app for 30 mins, and never get attacked, I'm still down an hour in the hole.

Is it 3hrs that the game is open, or 3hrs of actual play time? It does seem more complex than the game really needed.

If it literally means, the game can only be open for 3 hours before you are kicked, regardless if it's 3 straight hours, or 3 hours in a 10 hour span... I dunno. I don't really like that idea.

The idea of also being unable to play for 3 hours because I'm not being attacked, that's a kick in the face, so to speak.

I like to think I am a very balanced, fair forum member and Clasher so I am going to wait before fully passing judgement. However I'm not sure I could be less enthused about this at present...I like to Clash after work during a window of peace between Clash and Kids....if that happens to coincide with my enforced PBT for accumulated time then I cannot Play...? Unless I check back every 6 minutes to see if anybody has been kind enough to destroy my base enough for me to break a shield I didn't want?
I purchase a few gems most months to play when I want.....if this doesn't interfere with that then I will happily continue playing with a slightly crooked smile....if I cannot play when I want............

Ps...Anybody seen a answer to the Q about the PBT kicking in at the end of a war plus I assume boosted barracks will pause if your PBT kicks in?

Really now.. Where in my post does it tell you that this is going to force all players to become gemmers? I'm just saying that its an obvious move by SC that keeps the spending players spend more than they actually have to spend (before the update) I hope you understand what I want to tell and what SC really wants. you are either stupid or have not read the sneak peek explanation yet.

personla break is only for 6 minutes, and that is rarely ever happen except you are a hardcore players which often plays more than 3 hours straight while not being shielded.

casual players will long since raided before 3 hours are met, maybe not even 1 hour.

I am curious to know how many of the players complaining aren't part of the problems SC is trying to fix. This isn't rocket science! Read the entire thread completely and slowly.

As as far as the gems and all you players saying they just want more money...duh! It is their business! As I see it you have 2 options:

1. Play THEIR game by THEIR RULES
2. DONT play THEIR game

Simple enough. Quit crying and wait until you see the whole picture! I will continue to play the game. I will learn the new rules. Oddly enough, it will be just like it was when I downloaded the app. I had no idea how to play it and didn't know diddly about strategies. But guess what? I learned.

In closing. Choose an option above and then stop whining about this GAME!!!

EXCELLENT JOB SC!!! THANK YOU FOR TRULY MAKING THIS UPDATE ANOTHER GAME CHANGER!!! I CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT ELSE YOU HAVE PLANNED FOR YOUR GAME!!!

Here is what I perceive after the first 2 peeks:

1) Oh.. people aren't attacking and spending $$ on gems.. so we will alter the shield system to get the casual player to play more or they will lose loot. If they want a "free" shield like it was in the past... you can buy one with gems! You want more protection you can buy a village guard for gems!

2) We are going to be spending a ton more resources on failed attacks that don't reach the 30% minimum for a shield based on the following from today:

"However, in the case of exceptionally poor attacks that do less than 30% destruction (or for Chiefs who neglect to bring their Town Halls inside and get "sniped"), an automatic 15-minute Village Guard period will activate to give shieldless defenders a chance time to rearm traps, reload their defenses and request defending troops.

having to spend $$ on re-arming and filling up clan castles is going to suck big time. I do not see any increase in resources coming or any reduced army build times. If they wanted us to attack more they would address those 2 issues as well as get rid of "nexting"

I think the same person wrote todays sneak peak and my health insurance policy! Wow! You have to be a regular rocket surgeon to sort through all that.
