It's the people up in Titan that are moaning that they cant find bases to attack, it's these same people that put the THs outside to minimise their trophy losses from defense.
So by giving them 3hr Village Guards, doesnt this remove them from the available players to attack, defeating the whole point.
everyone should get the same VG regardless of League and it shouldn't be able to be purchased to extend the PBT period.
my personal opinion is leave the PBT as is, and get rid of the VG.
My Queen takes 55mins to regenerate, then you need to search for a base to attack
Don't let her get hurt during an attack then. While she is healing, you need to brew spells anyway, which takes longer after a proper attack. Unless you boost both of them. And searching for good loot shouldn't take as long.
Um why would it be worse post update? They are easier to get and you can attack several times without losing your shield.
I'm still having trouble understand how the VG is going to work. I'm relatively new (started late summer) and am currently bouncing between 1050-1220 shields, as I had sniped my way up to 1250 to get the gem bonus a few weeks ago. Just made TH7 last week after maxing out TH6. I don't do any of the Clan War stuff although I have a 2-person clan with a friend, I'm primarily interested in the puzzle of maximizing ROI on attacks and the puzzle of sequencing my construction while minimizing how much loot I give up in exchange for the shields. Sometimes I'd toss my TH outside (if I was heavy in storage), but if I just built something I'd keep it inside.
I typically have 3-4 days a week where my work flow and commute allows me to attack 8-10 times across the day, roughly 30-45 minutes apart, and one evening a week where I'll just raid pretty much continuously between TH-sniping (to win trophies) or going after Level 10 collectors (to lose the trophies I win). Many nights, I'll do a final raid, leave my TH out, and go to bed. Wake up in the morning, and nobody attacked me. My raiding force costs about 30k elixir if I use it all, plus a level 4 Lightning and a level 3 Healing spell, and I usually try to get double that back in some mix of gold or elixir, depending on what I'm building next.
With these changes, how is the VG/PBT going to work? I'm not on 3 hours continuously. It's more like 10 minutes on, 30 off, 10 on. If I get a shield and I'm close to building something, I'll wait it out, but otherwise I'll just kill the shield during the day and keep going. So why would I ever have to take a forced break?
So can I just ignore this whole VG/PBT thing unless i get hit overnight or on one of the days I have to take off? I'm ok with losing loot if I have to take a day off, that seems reasonable. And it sounds like if I'm hit overnight I'll still be able to keep the shield on for a couple of hours in the morning after attacking twice before leaving for work.
Watch Galadon's video on it, see if that helps you understand better. I've gone through it a few times and I *THINK* I get it, but until it hits, I ain't pretending to understand it. 😎
Coupla things that that are clear.... There is a three hour personal break timer that is cumulative in nature across some greater period. If you okay periodically throughout the day, and the PBT reset criteria do not occur, then each time you play will factor into that three hours. So if you play for twenty minutes on your commute, each way, and thirty minutes during lunch, that would be seventy minutes toward the three hours.
What I question here is how the reset works. I have a base that has literally gone two days without being raided; not even a trophy drop. Does that mean that I have to hit three hours of game play then go through the three six/fifteen minute thing today okay again or does it automatically reset at some point in the day? I can't believe SC is going to force me to go through that six off, fifteen on foolishness if I leave it it there and no one attacks.
In this situation your pbt would reset every time you are offline for 3 hours. You don't have to do the 15 minute part by the way, as you can dismiss the vg.
I like what Supercell is trying to do, but I do think in your situation something better could have been done.like reset the pbt after say 30 minutes cumulative offline time in the 3 hour pbt. But things are always more complicated than you think.
