But I'm sure someone will rationalise it better after #3Sneak Peek
So using the example provided in the announcement page..
"For example, say a player reaches their Personal Break 3-hour limit. They will get a 6-minute Personal Break timeout to give other players a chance to attack them. If 6 minutes goes by without a defense, the player can then come back online for 15 minutes protected by Village Guard (and attack as normal, if they like). Then comes another 6-minute Personal Break timeout. Say, this time, someone attacks them for 15% destruction and loses. As this is a weak attack, the player can again come back online for 15 minutes protected by Village Guard. The 3rd time they get the 6-minute Personal Break timeout, no matter what happens, they will get a full reset on their Personal Break 3-hour limit and a full automatic Village Guard (via the Mercy Rule)."
1. You play for 3 hours.
2. You then get the 1st time out for 6 mins allowing other people to attack.
3. If you do not get attacked within this 6 mins, you can come back in-game for another 15mins.
4. You are allowed to attack during this 15 mins.
5. After this 15 mins of playtime is up, you get ANOTHER 6 mins of timeout similar to #2.
6. If you STILL do not get attacked during this 2nd round of 6 mins of downtime, you are able to log back in and play for another 15 mins.
7. After 15 mins, you get kicked out again for a 3rd round of 6 mins down time.
8. Once this 3rd round of 6 mins down time is up, you can play again for another 3 hours before this whole cycle starts again.
Buying the VG extends this playtime of 3 hours to 5 hours.
NOW i get it..
