Hey Chief,
As we all know SC decided to introduce a new shield system in the game.
The change is more than welcome since it increases resource and trophy flow by a big margin.
So ! Mawrrrr loot !!
But here we decide the pros and cons of the new system on base designing and overall gameplay.
Go comment !
First!! Hybrid bases will receive a new life for sure! Old ones can be revamped while new ones will be made to suit the new meta. Expect to see more troll bases as well! The kind that does not revolve around teslas and gbs :smirk: but rather well thought out ones. :D
Edit: also, gigantic bases that span almost the whole map will be more used. Since we can now "divide" or "segment" the base into portions for different shield times.
I'll see this as a challenge from SC to the base designer community to see if we can adapt our designs accordingly.

They should put bonus league for defenses too and also increase it, to try to balance the remove of snipers. Because u'll have the costs to rearmy everything most of the time, since you'll get just full atacks
Not sure what the village guard is, but we can be sure as hell that it'll just be a small buff to the defensive player. The fate of the base is now decided on the attacker. Whether to "give" u the shield or not. :smirk:Quote:

By wars? If you go for a war/push layout, it's kind of impossible to 3 stars max th10, because u aren't with the properly troops and don't have time to analzy the layout on how to attack... Many trophy pushers use bunnies to find corner townhalls and there is a huge inflow of them in current scene titan leagues. This can be SC's idea to counter those. No more noob th7s in global bragging a titan badge :smirk:Quote:

My initial plan is to tuck my th in behind my ravelins so it can't be casually sniped and hopefully you'd need half an army to take it out. That way I don't need to redesign my base much but will have to see.
re the village guardian my guess is he resets your traps for you after an attack.

I think next update we'll be forced on farming at higher leagues :confused:
I know it's too early to speculate ... but I think if we need to get loot + league bonus by using a "certain amount" of army then it is much "BETTER" if we just farm with full army on higher leagues(CHAMP-TITAN) :confused:
*more players will be on higher leagues = less cloud time for pushers.
I swear if they make league bonuses according to how many stars you get (1/3 for 1 star, 2/3 for 2 stars, and all of it for 3 stars) I'm gonna be ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Unless of course they increase the league bonuses like 3 times. But we will see now won't we
Won't work since no shield is rewarded unless attacker uses > 50% troops. No one will spend 50% troops just to snipe TH and junk buildings. They will go for it all. After this update, I am not sure if there's any advantage of putting TH outside. You will just keeping getting sniped without any shield.Quote:

The removal of a shield being generated from a TH Snipe in fact does remove a sense of variation to the game.
Every single farming base design is going to be irrelevant, and I'm not saying it sucks because I love designing bases, I'm saying it because it just downright sucks.
I feel that this new shield feature should only be applied to lets say, TH10+. It makes it fair because higher progressed players will have a better chance at defending these full blown upcoming attacks. I mean all designers are going to do now is use the townhall as another damage soaker, which ultimately makes its size and relevance void. May as well remove the townhall and put a new structure worth 3x3.
I really like the shield reduction feature, makes it a little more breathable for high up pushing, adding a recovery phase to retry serious pushing sessions. I've got a feeling that war/farming star acquisitions will be handled slightly differently in my opinion. I think the townhall will be worth nothing too, but rather the percentages may be upped to like - 50% (1 star), 75% (2 star), 100% (3 star). This would be so amazing to see, but it's just my speculation.
I am pretty sure people are going to be amazed when they see just how much loot was hidden behind perpetually sniped THs. This will lift the veil and expose all the sharks to each other. Just like the matchmaking change that allowed all the sharks to find the premmies in silver and bronze, this will further reveal loot.
As always, active clashers will have opportunity to reap the rewards. This was already good before the next sneak peek... the next sneak peek will make it better.
