Balancing TH
Hello everyone, so Supercell is coming with a new TH in the future expansion and everyone is really excited about it but I was thinking since that update is coming Supercell should rebalance loot between TH.
I'll explain a bit better:
For example a TH8 attacking a TH8 can get a max loot (Deposits only, excluding mines and colectors) of 350k Gold and Elixir and about 2.5k dark elixir, a TH9 attacking a TH8 can get 320k gold and elixir and about 2.2k dark elixir. While in paper this sounds fair the problem is that a TH9 can have heroes that are both on Level 30. The diference in hero power alone is 50 levels, which makes preparing continuous workers and gathering resources a non-continuous thing because you are mostly offering resources for sack easily.
That problem goes even worse to recent TH9 that have their level 10 king and recent queen and go against the same problem (50 hero levels of difference) but the loot possible for the take is increased, even worse they can be attacked by TH10 where the resources taken only decreases 10% of the maximum loot.
My recommendation is that we insert a new TH between TH8 and TH9 where the heroes only go to 15. You can have the 4 spells and increase quite a few things like 1 level of x-bows, 1 level of walls, upgrade all dark spells to lvl2 and the normal spells remain the same, since the th8 has 2 level of wizard tower to upgrade one can go to this new TH.
This would also balance much easier clan wars, so you don't have such a big letdown for bad matchmaking that we all know that happens.
For a lot of people it may seem a big step backwards but if you think about it there is a 50 hero Level difference between a max TH8 and a Max TH9. No other TH gets this much difference.

So your idea is to throw in a th 8.5 rather than give th 8s level a level 15 or 20 king?

Heroes aside, there's more difference between 9 and 10 than 8 and 9, but a high TH8 can smash a low one easier than a high TH9 can smash a low one because there's more things that can go wrong when attacking TH9s, and even low level TH9 tend to have a queen, xbows, extra traps, bombs and defenses.
Most TH9s will also get their raiding troops upgraded relatively quickly, and level 6 giants make a much bigger difference than high level heroes...so it doesn't really matter that much to the TH8s because any TH9 with level 6 troops is going to have a field day on their base regardless of the level of heroes. The other thing is that relatively few players stay at TH9 to grind out high level walls and heroes, so it is somewhat rare to see TH9s with heroes much higher than level 15. Bottom line is your solution doesn't really solve anything, but I also don't think the problem is that much of a problem. TH8s can raid relatively comfortably in crystal 3 as soon as they get level 5 troops, and make plenty of loot there. Staying above 1900 or so trophies and putting your town hall out will prevent you from getting raided about 80% of the time.

I don't think a whole new town hall is that great of an idea. Maybe just increase the level the barbarian king can be upgraded at, as someone mentioned earlier. And this is the case with every town hall level, not just town halls 8,9,10. It's just that lower town halls don't get that much appreciation, but believe me it stunk to be a town hall 6 getting wrecked by town hall 7's with drags.
