Buff the freeze spell

Currently Freeze Spell has a 3.5 tiles radius and 4,5,6,7,8 seconds effect at lvl1,2,3,4,5 respectively.

I suggest it to have 4 tiles radius and 8,9,10,11,12 seconds effect at lvl1,2,3,4,5 respectively.

This would be the much needed offence boost for TH10 vs TH10 while providing an alternative spell for TH10 vs TH9.
This is provide incentive for TH9 to upgrade to TH10 as well.


*TH11 is coming soon. Need to provide more incentive for TH9 to upgrade to TH10.
*TH10 have difficulty to 3star top TH10 atm.
*Much much easier for early TH9 to 3star TH8 rather than early TH10 to 3star TH9.
*Heal and Rage Spell have duration longer than 12 seconds at level1.
*Not much reason to use Freeze Spell besides to disable Inferno Towers at current state.

To be frank, I would like to point out a few things that would be problematic with freeze spells that could last for up to 12 seconds and have a 5 tile radius.
1.) It would allow for obliteration. What do I mean by that? If it is 5 tiles in radius, then that would mean that you would be able to freeze EVERYTHING inside a th 10 "town hall compartment." Actually, take that back (although it is true), just get 5 freeze spells (max at th 10), and JUST FREEZE THE BASE AS YOU GO. As a matter of fact, you could just bring 2 golems for initial tanking, and maybe 50 or so wizards. Then what you could do is drop the 2 golems, drop a bunch of wizards, freeze half of the base with the freeze spells, then wait for the troops to get maybe 30% of the base, freeze the next half, and you should have town hall+ more. You could say that it is only 2 stars, but it also didn't require any effort.

2.) You also stated that it has "Not much reason to use Freeze Spell besides to disable Inferno Towers at current state." To be frank, THAT WAS THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE FREEZE SPELL.

3.) Also, you compared it to a rage and heal spell, but lets all be honest here, which of the following effects do you think would be the most OP. a.) Spell that HELPS your troops stay alive. b.) A spell that speeds up the process that they can destroy the buildings around them. c.) For the troops to be not attacked by certain Super powerful buildings (inferno towers) for a period of time.

Most TH10 now opt for open type bases. 5 tiles is just half the radius of an archer tower. But I see the point, maybe increase the radius to 4 instead of 5.

SC's description of freeze Spell "...temporarily immobilizes enemy troops and disables defensive buildings within its radius". Just because everyone only uses it on inferno doesn't mean it can't be used to freeze other buildings.

Tend to agree. Freeze spell is too weak, TH 10 lacks offensiveness against equals.

I think additional freeze time would be more feasible than to increase its radius, increasing the radius you could potentially knock out all teslas and infernos with two well placed freeze spells.

Not sure about 12 secs or 5 tile diameter but agreed. For the cost of the freeze spell, the effect is not worth it.

No thanks. You might as well un nerf hogs, and make the Kings rage last 12-30 seconds... The balance is just fine the way it is.

Are you serious??? Maybe increase spell duration +1 second, but otherwise it's so op

Ps: Only freeze is not good, as only earthquake spells aren't good, more than 4 of them would be unnecessary

Only jump spells aren't good, only poison aren't good, only haste aren't good, only lightning aren't good

Only heal or rage spells can be used in a battle sometimes alone

Every Spell has it's (sic) uses. If Freeze Spell are OP, why don't we see every TH10 bringing ONLY Freeze Spell?


You kind of answered your own question. Same reason high level armies never consist of a single troop. You generally need 1-3 freeze spells to go up against most TH10s if you want to 2 star, but you'd also be screwed if you didn't have at least 1 jump and probably 1 rage.

The range of the freeze is totally fine. At most, it could use maybe a 1 second increase at each level, but any more than that is probably OP.
