What imaginary post are you replying to? Never mentioned anything ofnthe sort. I'm talking about some sort of shield for DE storage getting destroyed.
Please don't change the subject because you didn't read the topic correctly. I'd expect better from a millennial.
The DE storage is important but its not important when defending so no.
You're right that it would make things worse for players going after trophies.
As for the 40% thing, anyone who gets 40% is generally getting at least 40% of the loot you have available to steal, so the idea is to prevent players whose bases defend well from losing too much loot in the process. We've all at one time or another probably been hit for 150-200k or more and not gotten a shield, and then gotten hit again 20 minutes later for 300k. I know I have, and it sucks.
And as someone who plays the game similarly to you, DE storage in the TH would be interesting...you might have to overhaul the loot system entirely, but I do like the idea of giving players more incentive to defend their TH/a bigger penalty if they don't.
