How about Implementing the normal raid matchmaking into the war attacks also? i.e a th6 guy can't attack a th8 or th9. It should be +1/-1 within his townhall level.

Imagine if I have a defenseless and no walls TH9/10 matched and ranked against multiple TH7 and below. He can't attack me :smirk:
Imagine a 10 vs 10 all TH7 with 2x TH9 like that. Match an enemy with full TH7 and they can't attack for a total of 6 stars. Win ! :smirk:
The "fresh base" and "one attack" work to solve the practicing problem. They do absolutely nothing to address the informational problem of knowing traps the moment the attack is committed.
We faced a group of players a good while ago that did particularly well with first attack Stoned Hogs. We use anti-3 bases that stand up well, but not to this clan. They had assistance based on overall evidence.
Both having a second attack and it being same base allow good players without assistance to "catch back up" on the informational front. If you remove that, then those without assistance will be at a disadvantage in the changing base and/or one attack scenario. It might be easier for those with assistance to win in them due to the informational advantage and they might end up checking the boxes (or not, likely a mix, and under the radar/in the closet players would do well in both scenarios)
In order to combat the informational problem, traps would need to be shown to all players while preparing their attack. It actually might not be a bad idea to show full traps/cc to everyone after the first attack has been selected with the game as is today (even during said first attack) as that would remove the informational advantages.
Edit: I don't think showing traps to all, not just those using tools to see them would overly change wars today. It would give those who use a real attack as the first attack an advantage over anyone who scouts as scouting just to scout is a wasted attack versus using a real attempt that might clear the base with probability greater than zero. It would help combat assistance at TH9 and below. It doesn't "fix" TH10, although it might make 3 stars slightly easier, but I am doubtful it would help much there as those attacks tend to involve detailed planning and army composition triage, well beyond 3 minutes.
Nice ideas man.
Anyway IMO if supercell could do something for "one barb drop" attacks (eg banning the player or whole clan members) those ch**ters still can do a full raid by a low th8 on th10 to find most traps.
So problem is remained.
Honestly in our clan we only face these ch**ters once in almost 50 wars so this issue is not huge for us.
People just think supercell can magically solve bunnies in the upcoming updates. but nothing is magical.
why they cant just add a search to device for mod and disable game from loading,, similar to how other games work,,
Bet that dude has a TH10 up top and he did those scouts himself with an alternate. See it a lot.
The problem is worse.
never heard this. How other games can do it? could you start a new topic for it? maybe petition.
Thats a very good solution if supercell could find the player in pc using illegal software in the time they hit attack button.
It also can solve those bots farm automatically.
Too bad my First post is on a topic like this one, but we are constantly facing clans who openly use one barb attacks for obvious reasons.
it's really frustrating to see this happen war after war while there's nothing you can do about it.
what would help alot would be an easy way to report such activities, and support taking it seriously.
I opened a topic to support lately to report sandboxing and as a reply I got a procedure to reload the game when you are stuck in "sandbox mode" 😩. After further explanation I was asked to make a YouTube clip of the attack. To me it was a clear " we don't care" message.
If there is a topic discribing a simpel way to report i'd like to see the link here.
only solution in the end will be to
1) find a way to detect it.
2) Send a clear and final warning to all players by message when game is started on a device
3) Mass deletion of accounts and clans who still feel that it's ok to practice attacks over and over with modding SW.
BUT
we (especially TH9 and higher) need to be able to scout.
simply due to the fact of using different armies.
Some bases are perfectly laid out for hog riders, while others are perfect for a lavaloon, etc etc.
if you remove scouting it wouldnt be strategic anymore but more like a risky luckyshot attack.
Im against modding and ♥♥♥♥ing. yet this is not the solution
