We were bitten in a similar way once. A player joined us and was fab for the first few days with lots of chat and donations etc. Then we put him in war and halfway through prep day he ups and leaves with no explanation whatsoever (all the more galling as he was No2). Having been on the receiving end of such di:heart::heart:ish behaviour, we never take players that have left mid war or prep day.Quote:

While I hate when people do that, I also tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. As a counterpoint to all the no's, just recently we had someone join who was still in war. They left a few times so they could do their attacks before coming back. If you're not putting somebody in war/leadership immediately I don't see any immediate harm. Maybe ask them why they left, see what they say. But if you'd rather not risk it, there are plenty of other people out there anyways.
I agree and I don't care either. It is stupid clans who accept and promote jumpers that encourage the problem. Serves them right when their people jump from war.Quote:

Mmm..My mini is in a clan (was) that is now in war day. When I say mini I mean very mini as its 2 weeks old....Due to my level the Clan are almost all very young So I am just trying to get a few war stars under my belt.
Yesterday a guy who was about level 70 was allowed in and promoted by the starstruck leader to co..Cue mass kicking of players on prep day until there are only 5 left.
He then asks for leader so that he can 'make the clan strong' and says he has kicked everyone for the good of the clan as they were rushed and weak! Most of them were TH4 for Gods sake how can they be rushed!
I sensibly point out that he will simply kick everyone and wander off into the sunset and then he kicked me too.:D
The scary thing is he is still in the clan along with the 2 remaining co's and the leader...
Point is there are some people who end up stuck with the war ban through no fault of their own...I would say feel free to listen to stories of why people are banned first, be extra wary re promotion and maybe force them to spectate a war or two. You might miss a gem....Like L'il Holps.
When will people ever learn? it's not like the forums are full of stories of clans promoting an unknown to Co and then booting them all........Quote:
