Leaving a clan during Prep Day

Yesterday we recieved a request to join from a player who was ineligible for war for 1 day 20hrs. Personally , I think members who abandon their team during prep day/war are the lowest of the low (in the land of CoC anyway) and are an automatic 'No' from me. I realise that sometimes there are occasions when clans collapse and players are suddenly left adrift, but there are too many alarm bells for me when I see a player do this. I was just wondering, how many of you would actually give such a player a go, say, if they had a great base/troops etc?
Also, what has driven any of you to leave a clan during prep day or war in the past?

Nope I wouldn't allow these people in my clan, and no matter there excuse I wouldn't believe them.

During prep day, no. During the start of the war, no. Last 6 hours of war, probably. This is the only time where they might have done their attacks but then left because the clan they were in sucked.

I mentioned this before but I once left a clan on prep day when they started racially abusing people they were luring in from global..Having said that I would not accept someone banned from war for more than a couple of hours..They can always come back when free if they are serious

It's a definite "no" for me. I just reject anyone locked into a clan war.

It's an automatic reject from me. Once a war hopper always a war hopper.:smirk:

I know its possible that a player in that situation could've been trapped in a war unknowingly. Like just visiting a clan to see if its a good fit then gets stuck in a war he didn't want. If a player comes to our clan and is in the early part of prep day or whatnot I'd be suspicious but ask what the deal is. Most of the times if he seems legit the response by us is to go back and use your attacks and then come back in. We tell em we will send someone to verify they used attacks but don't really. Can just see how their war star stat changes. Thats what we do.

Hard to tell why they left their previous clan like that. Might have been a bad fit or any number of reasons really. That being said, depending on the how the base looks I would be open to accepting them temporarily and talk to them about why they're ineligible for war. Also I probably wouldn't be rushing to add them to our war roster. We don't put "new" people in war no matter what.

A guy joined a war I was in once with a troll war base and left on prep day. Not cool!
