TH8 attack strategies.

Any attack strategy you are good at can become a 3-star strategy with a little tuning.Ive enjoy hogs, and dragons. So I use both of them, hogs to take out an AD or two, and dragons to sweep over the rest of the base. Easy 3 star on max TH8.If you like air attacks, try some dragon attacks. Dragon and balloon attacks can easily 3 star any TH8 base. If anyone wants to challenge this, I can send proof.If you like ground attacks, hogs work, and then GoHo when you have your golems.I use level 3 hogs for my hog attacks, so dont worry about maxing them out, although im not saying leave it either. It will help, but its possible without it.Good luck, whatever you choose.

Dragons dont work for every base, Hogs dont work for every base, and GoWiPe doesnt work for every base. There will always be strengths and weaknesses to bases and attacks.

Ive found dragons and hogs dont work as well for spread out bases, but they can still easily two star them. GoWiPe works for more spread out bases, but that is something you get near max TH8, unless you focus on it. I am mid TH8, with no golems, but i can 3 star most compact bases with dragons and hogs, and 2 star spread out bases with dragons.

Again, no attack is perfect. But you can pick out the right attack, or design your attack, by knowing the strengths and weaknesses to it.

Not this madness again, let's see your replays of threeing ANY TH8 base. Sure, they're strong against low to mid TH8s, but grow weak against 6/6/6 ADs with smart layouts. And then you say you use level 3 hogs in your hog attacks and not worry about maxing them? There is so much bad information in this thread it isn't funny, level 3 hogs don't have the hp to withstand giant bombs while under fire while level 4 hogs do.

I'm actually trying to push for a balloonion strategy using 3 haste spells and 2 healing.... already got my minions going to lvl 4, and have earthquake I just gotta get the loons to lvl 5 and unlock haste now.....

My question is..... does anyone else on here think this is a good set up to bring into war? I'm relatively new to th8 as well so just looking for helpful attacking advice

Considering that TH8s don't get haste and level 5 loons are super weak relative to death loons...

Also, if you care much about your minion levels, you're probably loonioning wrong. Minions should not be placed until after the defenses are all dead.

Pretty sure u can unlock haste at th8.... u just can't upgrade it until townhall 9

And I know minions are more just a clean-up troop, but they're effin awesome at it lol so I figured I'd make them as good as possible, plus I use them for looting along with my barch....

Wish I could get death loons but thats not until th9, that said though.... given 2 heals 3 haste and like 30 loons at lvl 5; does it seem like a viable th8 attack strategy?? Or am I just a few gems short of a builder hut on this idea

Nvm you're right.... just got the dark Barracks lvl 2 completed.... cant get haste til town hall 9 :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Level 5 loons are still too weak. 32 death loons + 6 CC death loons will triple any TH8, but the jump from level 5 to level 6 loons is massive.

I guess I can settle for a dragloonion type strategy, maybe mix it up with the spells either go 2lit 1eq and 1 rage or try with all healings. My lightning is only lvl 4 though so probably going to stick with healing for awhile in war

That or I'ma have to unlock golems so I can gowipe

If you're taking minions or heal spells with your dragloons you're doing it wrong.. Get your lightning to level 5 and zapquake an AD then use the rage to get your loons in quickly. Your ideas aren't nearly good enough to try and reinvent the wheel of what other people are doing well.

But get your hogs to level 4 ASAP.
