***Update Troop Selection Bar**

Many times I've found myself in a war attack or regular raid skipping troops needing to be deployed or a spell needing to be dropped. With the new update upon us, I think an indicator of some sort would greatly reduce this and help remind players they have more troops/spells.

1. I'm posting a picture of the general concept in hopes of gaining interest and momentum to get this put in place. The Troop Selection Bar only shows 11 slots, anything over that you have the potential of missing it and ruining your raid. If you want to take the time to create some more detailed or different version of my general concept, please feel free to submit.

2. With a new hero coming out, possible new troops, and future spells...the Troop Selection Bar can get pretty full with the versatility that Clash of Clans has. There are very unique combinations that cause players to have to scroll left and right on the Troops Selection Bar just to select the troops they want/need to place.

3. The indication can be a simple arrow that illuminates if there are troops or spells off to the side that still need deployed. The indicator would just be graphical, not to interfere with any control of selecting your troops.

4. I am open to suggestions or re-vamped general concept photos to advertise. I think Supercell would find this very helpful, especially with the expansion of the new hero/troops.


Using my typical GoHo attack, I bring: (12 Troops Selection Slots)
-Archers
-Golems
-Wallbreakers
-Hogs
-Wizards
-King
-Queen
-CC
-Rage
-Jump
-Heal
-Poison

**With a typical GoHo attack I use in war, I tend to have to scroll across the bar to place the right troops. I end up missing the few archers I bring to pick away that few extra %. THIS COULD POTENTIALLY SOLVE THE ISSUE**

Would be nice but IMHO would only cause more problems with misclicks due to smaller button size.

No need to decrease the button size they have now. The graphic can be placed over it or the arrow can be reduced in size. The arrow would have no "push-button" effect or function with deploying troops. It would strictly be an indicator.

Okay well you're going to have an arrow covering the sprite of a troop or spell, which could cause some confusion during attacks. I get the idea behind it though.

I was thinking about this recently, did a war attack where I didn't use a Freeze spell of all things as it was pushed to the side. And I had a 90% attack...what could have been eh? :o

Those arrows, do they only illuminate if there are more troops not used that way? That would be pretty handy.

But what about the wallbreakers, I can see the image there but the arrow is on it. That is quite confusing, I'd click that for wallbreakers and instead the bar moves and I'd drop a different troop like a Golem instead.

...but I am very happy someone is putting thought into this. Been trying to come up with a solution myself, that doesn't involve making the tiles smaller as that would mean more mis-clicks. Another was lose some game area for 2 rows of tiles, as a setting option for players to opt in or out for.

From doing some research I've noticed if you have a wider screen device the game will show more tiles which helps.

My iPhone 6 for example shows more tiles then my first gen iPad mini. Crazy to think I now prefer doing my war raids on a smaller device just because it shows all my troops.
