Healer/Archer Queen attack is TOO OVERPOWERED!

I agree it is difficult to stop the SQ attack. I'm TH9 and everything is maxed out except heros and walls. Currently 50% level 8 walls and 50% level 9. Heros are both level 15. I'm hit with a SQ on the regular and it's always a two star loss. I've tried multiple bases and just gave up on defending against it. Honestly, I don't care about the loot or DE they steal. That's part of the game. My issue is this:

2 Xbows
1 Wiz tower
2 Mortars and
1 archer tower

They were all firing on the SQ in one of my last couple defenses, but this guy (or girl) had 5 healers on the Queen and I was barely making a dent in her HP. When I actually got the damage down the player hit the ability button and right back to 100% she went and of course Xbows target another troop.

Simply, the issue for me is there is no way to stop the SQ. My ADs were just outside of range to hit the Healers. So far, that is the only part of the game that isn't enjoyable to me. Also, since I hate it so much, I don't do it to others.

Im in my mid 20s so it's just a game to me. I don't get upset. However, one of the best parts for me is watching my defenses and its frustrating to lose so many because of the SQ.

The decrease time back to 3 minutes is nerfing AQ healer indirectly, so unless you have truly max AQ, queen walking isn't as OP as you think.

JTCrowder49 - Agree completely. I love defending when attacked. I just want my base to have a chance. Even if I was only losing by 1 star it would bug me because I wasn't given a chance. A loss is a loss.

...level 9 walls dont do much of anything other than make it take 3 L5 wbs instead of 2. Dont expect walls to be any indication of your base strength. I would say that L9 is currently where you should stop with walls until SC figures out a way to make them relevant again.

A level 1 xbow and level 6 teslas are not enough to stop a queen unless you mass them around a single point and she walks onto that spot...you have a th8 with an extra archer tower is how you should think of your base as you have currently described.

The base you described doesnt sound like it would be effective defending much against th9+ attackers. This does not surprise me.

...why does the cost of the army matter? You are upset because there is an attack that can actually be used to raid and save the 4M+ de it takes to get a queen to level 40? That is entirely irrelevant to whether or not it is overpowered.

My typical queen raid is the queen (of course), 4 max healers, 12 L6 giants, 8 L5 wbs, 4 L5 wizards, 32 L5 goblins, 32 L5 archers, 1 max heal, 3 max rages. It costs 250k elixir to train. I rarely use all of the spells on a single raid, but with proper queue management, this comp lets me get 2 or 3 heavy powered raids completed in an hour without boosting. After I boost heroes, my barracks, and the sf, I can get an attack in every 10 minutes that will earn me profit.

Superqueen was taken out of the game a while back. You also did not mention any of the specific defensive details that can hold off a queen so I assume your base does not exhibit them (you would likely refer to them instead of your L9 walls if it did)

I'll phrase my objection this way: why should the game be changed to benefit defenders without them having to do anything at all to deserve it? I am a th9, just like you (probably a bit further along and with better defenses, but I also didnt waste a lot of gold on L9 walls)

The last time I was hit by a queen walk was 5 days ago. It was by a level 9 queen, 4 max healers, and a level 10 bk. The attacker got 1 star with his barch troops, but could not take my core with his queen. This is a very typical occurrence. I can be gowiped from the south, and mass hogs will trash my base (enough defensive data to know where my vulnerabilities are)

But I will take my chances that raiders are going to be teased into attacking the northern wall with their gowipe and that they are not using mass hogs outside of war. My base routinely withstands queen walks.I'm currently without a shield in Masters 3 and havent been attacked in 3 days (qw or otherwise)

Ah...so if an attacker defeats your defenses, that means it is overpowered. Good to have that in the open.

I've done probably 1k queen walk attacks in the game. There are certain base designs that I completely pass up. There are certain "nondesign" base elements that I always pass up. There are certain bases that I smash over and over and over again.

There are several ways to defend queen walks. Quit pretending there aren't. "But my base wouod be vulnerable to hogs!!" is not a valid response.

One of the major principles of this game is that no one should be able to defend every troop composition. Your expectations of having an "impregnable defensive bastion" should not inform any decision making processes that could actually affect game dynamics.

DraakerDraekonis - Thx for advice on the walls, that was my plan to stop there and finish off my base defense upgrades while I Finish off my troop upgrade (DE troops almost done). It will usually defend against people that are at the same level as I, Upper TH9 will usually get 1-2 stars, but my base has a chance then, With the SQ, it is always at least a 1 star with no chance to defend. That is all I am asking for is a chance.

The wall upgrade has had its benefits. A lone Gohlem or two will get trapped inside a level 9 wall for long enough the defense to take it down.

Like lightning spells gave no chance to defend when it would steal loot (Glad they stopped that), This gives me no chance to defend as well. I only ask that the number of Healers attached be limited to 1 or maybe 2. This would give me a chance to defend it. Losing is part of the game, but there needs to be a least a chance to win. all I am asking for.

In my opinion, the Queen Walk is fine, but the healers Just need a LITTLE nerf

I would have to agree with the majority of the people here. I don't think it requires any change at all. A hit from TH10 will usually net at least a 2 star. They get 25 extra troops, multiple upgrades on every troop, etc. You talk about a level 1 xbow and there's your issue. Until you have maxed out your defense towers, you can't really complain. I can go gibarch any TH8 and will likely 2 star if not 3 star now and I'm almost a maxed out TH9. It's the way it has always been. A higher TH can and should take out a lower TH with ease, after spending literally millions of resources to upgrade to it.

I've recently tried out the SQ and it is not cheap nor is it easy. It also isn't a situation where I can go in and hit any TH9 I want. I skip until I find a base I think the SQ will work on. I used to play with loonions for raids and I consider that to be a cheaper raid against TH8 and will always 3 star. But I've been targeting TH9 in the league I'm in and I can't do loonions unless I see you have a base with only level 1 xbows and a weak AQ.

Overpowered is something I define as a 3 star strategy that does not require you to use all of your troops to do it against maxed TH level defenses. In this, I couldn't 2 star the TH9s if I held back. I also see some gibarching done really well, super cheap and all they want to do is hit that DE and it can be accomplished. In raids, you will lose against the good raiders that know what they want.

You're able to make 3 layouts. I suggest setting up 3 where you protect your de as priority, gold as another, elixir for the last. This way, you can save on what you are trying to work up to and sacrifice the rest.

You do have a chance. I am confident that there is something skewed here. I have 5 accounts and 4 of them are L9+. The first time I was working through queen walk mechanics, I screwed up many of them before I learn3d what i could and could not do effectively with the queen. That was when i figured out what could and could not be attacked. Now in my alts, I know exactly what to send in with her, I know exactly where and when to drop rages, I know where to start my attacks, I know where and how to reroute her, and I know which bases to avoid. So when I attack with my low level queen, you arent being attacked by a "level 4 queen" in the basic sense. You are being attacked by someone with a Level 26 queen, a Level 16 queen, a Level 4 queen, and a Level 1 queen. I hope it is not bragging for me to say that if I choose to attack you with a Level 4 queen walk, I have already won in some sense of the word. Either your de is unprotected, you have too much of a 2nd resource, or I just think I can thrash you for my daily bonus.

What I'm saying is that I am very careful about my target selection but there are enough poorly defended queen walk bases that i dont have to look for long at all to find a good target.

One free piece of advice: air defenses 5 spaces behind your wall ideal. Queen cant reach, will walk along the wall and will kite the healers into ad range.

The best way to learn how to defend against queen walks is to become really good with the attack. Use it and you will learn from those that stop your attack how you should adjust your base.
